I love dudes who know both sides. Physical and technical. I like Arlo wireless but the battery issue is annoying. They got the solar panels for them but im to told for that

You could get some improvement if you bypass the actual socket .Remove the faceplate and terminate the cable inside with and F connector and F barrel and try the test again . Even if in the RF environment it's been proved that the sockets do represent a signal loss/attenuation in dB

Can we use this device to connect two routers in two different buildings? Or this device can be used to provide internet to ONLY 1 device on the other end

@Atzie Tomas, thank you for this video. I understand that more users are using these devices to transmit Internet. I have already built a LAN line between two houses. Can I use the devices to transmit the Coax digital TV signal using the LAN?

Does it effect internet speed if I use a coax splitter and use one cable for this device and the other for the tv? Also would it still work? I need the coax for my tv channels and and ethernet for my fire stick 4k

question... Im ditching cable We are moving away from direct Tv and going to ipTv, i have a pretty good network settup in my house, simple question.. since i dont want to pull Cat5 to 2 tv's and the wifi is a little slower then id like.. Will a rj6 to cat5 adapter work? the tv im talking about is mounted on the wall and the cable is pulled up thru the wall and terminated behind the Tv, the other end is in the basement (*network closet) shy of running and fishing 50feet of cat5 and making holes in the walls can i just transmit cat5 over coax>?

I’m confused. I have a coax outlet next to my pc so I plug one of these into that then run an Ethernet from it to my pc. Then near my router I plug another one into the coax downstairs and run an Ethernet to my router? What was the massive cabling you showed. Also what if the coax downstairs is being used
@TheLOL9842
@TheLOL9842 4 года назад
If you have a unused Coax network in the house, then you could get 2 of these and plug one into the router and one to your pc and there would be connection. The massive cabling seems to be his Coax connection in teh attic, and if you are using your Coax to transfer RF Tv, then my guess would be that this won't work if you don't make it 2 seperate connections.

@raulrohjans7756 2 года назад
@@ThankGodEze1 The speed depends a lot on the coax cables. I connected them directly and was able to get 75 mbps, but using the coax in my walls (which is old and has a lot of splitters) I get 40mbps which is enough for me.

Your issues with the powerline adapters wasn't specifically the copper wiring in your home -- it's the fact that power lines are *not* meant to carry data. Everyone that posts in /r/HomeNetworking asking about / having problems with this steaming pile of garbage of a technology reports the same speed you received (IF they get them to work) -- roughly 50-80mbps. The issue with the technology is that any inductive load on your electrical system can / will interfere with them. They are garbage and should be avoided at all costs. If this technology were any good, ethernet wouldn't need to exist...

Its probably due to your coax cables, check if they have splitters anywhere.
