So does this mean if I had a catted downpipe from Cobb or another manufacture we are no longer able to be tuned with them using the COBB access port?Just want some clarification on what the new EPA standards are when it comes to tuning?
So does this mean I’m no longer able to use an aftermarket j pipe on my 19’ Subaru wrx? New to the car community and a bit confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
@@cobbtuning my tuner just said u guys locked him out of the tuning software so he can't turn off the rear O2 sensor light and I most likely will get into limp mode pretty much once a day. So what's going on???

@@Daniel-qf8sd My Precious! We're still working out the details. Ideally, we're going to reuse mostly everything we can but make it work differently. That way, if you already have the hardware, you can implement the new system with minimal changes.
The calibration is part of the EO'd package. A package with custom tune would need to go through the same application/testing/certification process to be legal.
So if I have all the stuff that it’s included in the stage 2 package, but they are different brands and I use the stage 2 map. can it still be CARB legal
I just bought a 21 STI, and just purchased a V3 cobb access port. I have an AWE catback exhaust and Perrin cold air intake installed. Which ots map would be safe to install?
We do not offer an OTS file that supports the Perrin intake, you would either need to have the car custom tuned to safely run that intake or swap to a COBB OTS-supported intake (stock, COBB SF, or COBB Redline).

I have a ‘21 STI with the fancy redline intake and titanium cat back. And I’m in love with both. But because it’s a newer vehicle I was worried about getting an access port and voiding any warranty I have. Do you think the car is safe running those without a tune?
Hey there! Nothing to worry about with the cat-back but the intake definitely requires tuning for safe operation. If you purchase an Accessport, it will come with the Stage1+SF maps needed for the Redline Intake.
If you drive the same, MPGs will be the same. The fuel upgrades are about having additional capacity; it doesn't mean that additional capacity is in constant use.
The previous Stage 2 Power Packages were $2885 or $3385 depending on your choice of exhaust (stainless or titanium). These packages are comparable in pricing, $3000-$3200 depending on intake choice, make more power, and are 50 state legal.
With a protune and this setup and a catback, you should be looking at 315-320whp and around 340-350tq. This is a bit of speculation. I just finished my protune for stage 1+ on my 21 sti and made 286whp and 322 tq. Bone stock sti makes about 250-260ish whp.
Progress is being made on a new Flex Fuel solution for Subaru, we are hoping to submit for emissions testing very soon. There is not *currently a path to emissions compliance for a catted downpipe for these vehicles.
