I use the round flat head crochet hooks just because of this problem. They work amazing and much easier with this yarn. I believe they are Sally Bates hooks… they have a flatter, round head.
Oh boy...I’ve got quite a few balls of that Coboo in my stash and I’m not patient with splitting yarn. One reason why I’m not a big fan of the Caron simply soft yarn. Thanks for this review.
I did a crochet puff stitch hat with the Coboo yarn for a friend last year; I thought it was just me, I'm glad I'm not the only one who had difficulties with the splitting... its SOOOOO soft though! Thanks for the comparison on Coboo vs the Nyboo 🙂
I'm making a crochet dress out of the third sister yarn, Truboo. It's also really soft, silky, and has a pretty sheen. Definitely splits, so I am working pretty slowly. I think it's pretty enough to keep working with it, but I'm so scared my finished project will snag on everything!!
Oh no, I seriously dislike the z-twist because it needs to be unspun or untwisted constantly. I haven't had too much of a problem with the boo yarns splitting. Although the truboo and nuboo do seem to split more than the coboo when it does split.
