Today we installed cobra 13" brakes on to my 2004 mustang track car. They are HUUUGE compared to the stock ones! Like, comment, and Subscribe and I hope you enjoyed! Instagram @Camco2313 TikTok @Camco2313
I remember rebuilding the entire suspension, brakes, and transmission on my 04 mustang drift car and it was surprisingly easy. I’ve gotta do it again on my other 04 mustang GT here soon.
I bought my 13" Cobra brake set up from North Race Car. It's going on my 88" Foxbody. Had to get the 93 Cobra master cylinder and master cylinder. Switched from 4 to 5 lug. I was in a catch. I could have done the work, but I was and had to do the 3.73 gears at the same time. Luckily, I had the money and paid a shop in southern California to do all the work. Should all be done by next week. Then comes the T-56 6 speed and the motor with a new Kenne Bell.
We just did coilovers with the AJE front lower control arms on the 99 gt vert, 4.5 + caster 1.5 - camber .05 toe, sharpened the handling quite a bit. We can't decide on brakes, will run the stock stuff this summer and figure out what to do for next winter, let us know how these work out for you.
It is definitely more front bias now than it was. I have raced the car quite a bit since the install and I can say that they still perform significantly better than stock even when just daily driving. Only time I notice it is when I’m on gravel and the front will lock up and push before coming to a stop
