Um, she's upset and the character is the character. Just because you don't want to see this character regress doesn't mean the character wouldn't regress following what she's been through.
@@Minetic I get what you're saying but you won't really know if it's repetitive story telling or if it's a clever reworking to bring about a full character arc until you see the remaining episodes of the season. Many great shows with great character arcs and storylines have moments that seem like repetitive storytelling. Either the issues aren't fully resolved or there's more that the character still needed to "learn" or a device is used to show how much punishment the character takes. Whether or not it's lazy storytelling will all depend on how they wrap up her character. So my point still stands.
Can’t lie it was kinda disappointing. Tori getting her 100th villain arc 🤦♂️ Devon going instead of Kenny I like Devon but let’s be real. Same with dimitri stop trying to make him something he’s not let him go mit ffs.
yeah and I think that miguel should have beat robby considering that miguel was the one who won the all valley first and it would be fitting for him to be the one to win the sekai taikai since we know whoever was the captain from miyagi do was going to win anyways

I think we get Sam vs Tori but not in the finale. I think we get Devon vs Tori in the finale. Tori beats Sam but then loses to Devon. Wild take but that's what I believe is going to happen. Or something happens with Sam & we just get Devon & Tori.

4th? We've only gotten it twice. S2 it was the co-main event with Robby/Miguel and S4 it was the finale. S3 doesn't count, that was more of an appetizer for S4 and Kreese vs Johnny & Daniel closed that season out.

My wife is currently battling cancer, so I completely understand what Tori is dealing with. That episode hit close to home but it really works for the story. I totally see her rejoining with Kreese after that. Can't wait for part 2.
yeah really - I'd go so far as to say if you want to watch new Star Wars content that is more consistent to the spirit of the Original Trilogy this is probably the closest thing
Season 5 Kenny = Top 3 Fighters Season 6 Kenny = Invisible GG, The should have kept him like an anti-hero instead of joining the others just to ultimately get written off.
I wouldn't say top 3. He only beat Hawk and Robby via some cheap shots with the silver bullet while his opponents were either going easy on him or not wanting to fight him. He's still strong for sure but I would place him like somewhere between 6th-8th place along with Dimitri and Devon. And well, I'd like to think he will still make some comeback along with Anthony for some closure somewhere outside the Sekai Taikai.
@@bobbynygaardchrisitansen6874 I think its quite late for them to change members though now that they have already flew to Spain while the others stayed in the US, so I think Kenny will get his comeback/redemption some other way that isn't in the tournament (unless he also secretly joined Cobra Kai like Tory did)
What happened to you Devon? You were the underdog that we cheered on for you, only for you to reveal that you cheated? If you lose, you lose with dignity and your head up high. Instead, you turned out no better than Terry Silver. Chosen would have called you out, and said you have no honor.
@@Gaz_1 I disagree. She is one of the worst after she cheated. For what reason did she do that? She had shown that she can keep up with the likes of Kenny or Hawk. She could have owned or failed to get a place in the team with her own strengh.
I reckon since we find out Mr miyagi fought in that tournament, he fought kreese’s old master back in the day and they will tie it all in that the rivalry started there years and years ago
Many critsicisms with this season unfortunately , cuz as much as i love this show there was many criticisms , We constantly keep seeing Daniel and Johnny becoming friends then enemies , then friends thene enemies and the cycle repeats , then we have Devon and the laxatives plot was just pointless don't see a reason she'd cheat , the Kreese in Korea scenes just felt like a cheesy cartoon , Miguel vs Robby although i think Robby did have a fair chance at winning but who we kidding the only reason Robby won is plot armour , also the constant becoming friends then rivals thing is ridiculous , its like the writers don't know if they want the characters to be friends or enemies , and wtf was that scene with Kenny shitting himself like they did bro dirty with that one , and why the fuck did they get Tory to join back cobra kai like i get her mum died but come on all this redemption arc shit just for it to go to the dump , all in all quite disappointed ,
Bro it makes sense that tory joins cobra kai she still has hate for sam and doesnt like the family clearly and also kreese helped her when she was on probation so why would it be right for her to betray him? I think Miguel, Tory, Keeny, and Anthony (Sam's younger brother) should've slid back to Cobra Kai. Also it sucks we never get the Kreese, Silver, Barnes team up.
I'm A Big Miguel Fan But I Have Say That Robby Needed That Win To Look Strong Going Into The Sekai Tekai. Miguel Is Already Been Established As The Strongest Teen Fighter In Cobra Kai, In Season 5 Miguel Was Literally Beating The Shit Out Of Everybody Without Taking Any Hits, Plus Robby Already Lost To Miguel 3 Times And To Hawk 1 Time. So Robby Winning Atleast Put Him Back On Same Level With Miguel, I'm Pretty Sure With Some Twists & Turns Miguel Will Be The Final Fighter Standing From Miyagi Do In The Tournament And Miguel Win The Sekai Tekai For Miyagi Do.

They did hawk and Kenny so dirty in this season. Let's be so real between Kenny, hawk and demetri and Devon, did they really believe Devon and demitri are the strongest. Demitri is gonna get absolutely rocked, Lee is definately getting rocked. They seemed to have nerfed hawk as well, this guy was a beast in other seasons.
The writers choosing the fighters the way they did shows these guys normally wouldn't deserve it. Johnny mentioning a free for all brawl would have been cool. But I feel the budget was likely spent on parts 2 and 3.
It’s a shame we have to wait four months. For Part 2 and then until 2025 for Part 3. But hopefully it is good and they don’t ruin everything they’ve built.
All I want is to hear “You’re the Best” song by Joe Esposito during the fight. Paying tribute to original Karate Kid 1 song scene. Im 99% sure it will happen since there are few dialogues in Season 6 saying phrases like “you’re the best in town” and “you’re the best in the world”

I thought she was holding onto the bottle cap, symbolizing that she was thinking of Tory when she died. That was the whole point of the backstory (in my opinion). And that’s why Tory was so fixated on honoring her mom by continuing to fight. My mom died 2 months ago, and that part blindsided me. I mean, maybe in my current state of mind that’s the conclusion I came to with the bottle cap. But it seems plausible that her mom saw Tory has her savior. Especially given the doctor recognizing Tory as a strong caretaker for her mom (and by extension, especially in the phone call moments when Tory came home, a parental figure for her brother). Idk, just my two cents :D
As a pharmacist: it’d be real hard to make laxatives work exactly at the moment you need them to. A part from enemas they don’t work that fast. But I’ll allow it.
I’d say it was realistic, my dads a pharmacist as well and he informed me laxatives can take up to 30-1 hour depending on dosage and how much you’ve eaten prior. If Kenny drank from his bottle prior to the 10min break they had before the challenge or even during the break, and estimating the run through the first in real time in which the protagonist had claimed they had hidden the flags deep in the forest, I’d say it was 15-20 min spent in the forest on the low end of things, that being said the laxatives, would realistically kick in at the time they did.
Anyone else think Miguel should be doing the big fight? Robby is great but he only won because Miguel was mad and panicking. I get he doesn’t want to lose anymore and doesn’t have much else going for him, but just being on the tournament team is a lot. And Miguel was the main protagonist who again is going on a big tournament team. He has beat Robby every other time. They just put him off for some reason
Not releasing all episodes in one go is a huge blunder, invincible season 2 is a perfect example, there was so much hype at the start but the release schedule ruined all the hype. The same thing might happen here with Cobra Kai

Tory's mother was deflating in more ways than one. Along with many others, I was POSITIVE that Julie Pierce was going to end up being the sick mother back when Tory's (unseen) mother was first mentioned. I guess we'll have to wait until part 2 or 3 for her highly anticipated inclusion. Also, I love Chozen. I'd love to watch a show based on him.
Don't tell anyone, but sometimes I fast forward through some of the teens' scenes... I'm 48. I watched the original 3 in the theaters many times. I just think it's freaking awesome to watch Johnny interact with Barnes, Chozen being Daniel's, buddy... Daniel is calling Barnes. Johnny is fighting Chozen.... That's all bad ass for us old school fans
I don't think he's a weirdo for having done that. It's not about pretending not having been there, but as one grows older, some things become simply silly & annoying. I ff some scenes, too, even with adults in it. But I admit I also got a bit tired of all the superpolished moral blah blah and repetitive storytelling. i am so f’ing mad that we have to wait for 4 months, and why did Tory have to go to the dark side, she is my fav character and i was so happy when she was with miyagi-do she seemed so much happier being friends with Sam and dating Robby. Also why was hawk not chosen early to go to the sekai tekai, it is so crazy to me that Devon got chosen first, she’s good, but nowhere NEAR as good as hawk, he was the boys all valley champion.
Cuz she's lame and poor and her mom died. You would think she would want to stay behind to make sure child protective services doesn't take away her brother. But oh well, she chose Karate 😂

No, season II was definitely worse. Season VI is barely out, and what they have shown has been fun, and not over the top. Unlike Season II which was extremely over the top and didn't really develop any characters in any way besides Johnny and Robby. Plus, we only have 5 episodes so far thanks to the abysmal release schedule, so it's to early to tell. But from what we do have it is definitely better than Season II, and possibly Season III when all is said and done
How is Kreese able to travel so easily to Japan and Spain while being an escaped felon?!? And then he can also be extradited from Spain. They could have used a country with no extradition deal with the US!
It was South Korea, but your point stands. Kreese just entered the U.S. at the open Southern border courtesy of FJB’s administration. He may have traveled to Spain under a false name, or that scene was just a fever dream, and when Daniel wakes up in a sweat, we find out that he’s actually a hobo living under a bridge. No wife, no kids, wearing a “The Outsiders” T-shirt and the whole series never happened.
I think a broken unstable tory fighting for miyagi do but brutal and not talking to anyone in front of kreese and him admitting later he killed her mom would have been better than just joining him all over again. Kenny should have come instead of demetri or devon.

I want to see: 1. Master kim confronts terry silver 2. Master kim shows up at the sekai Tournement 3. Master kim defeats daniel and miyagi do karate 4. Terry silver comes back and gets revenge on everyone and becomes the final boss 5. John kreese is revealed to be Johnny Biological father and his stepdad khew all along.
That punch Daniel threw/landed on Johnny was the same exact one he threw in Karate Kid III, when Silver sent the guy in to provoke him, and he broke the dudes nose.
Is it unpredictable if it's literally th3 same tropes from every season. Johnny and Daniel start out good then squabble then come back together then squabble. Then Tory redeems herself then betrays everyone. I feel like these writers don't know any other ways of doing stuff
Kreese realized he couldn't get Tory on his side unless something as tragic as her mom happened. She would be in a vulnerable state and easy to manipulate. He used a cobra to kill her, hence the blood clot.
Good on Tori for dumping Miaygi Do. She went missing for a few days and no one there wondered or cared where she was. Didn’t even make an effort to make sure she was okay. I hate that she went to Kreese but I hope she beats Sam fair and square. Sam is the worst character on the show. No development and such a 1 dimensional character.
Not everyone can be a psycho who becomes a good person in this universe. Sam started as a decent person and became a great person. She got nearly killed a few times and forgave her assailants each time. Fought with honor everytime. As for Tori, you don’t know what happened with Myagi Do after she left. We jumped like a few months forward to Spain. I don’t know how they would be able to check on her if she ran away with Kreese who is hiding, but there’s probably gonna be scenes they go back to in episode 6.!
i love Tori- honestly I don’t understand how no one - her boyfriend or her dojo gang - managed to not pick up on how unwell she was at the match, or even Robbie to go to her house and see how she was. She is the only one with real actual problems - all the others are so sheltered. I’m so angry with Larusso - he thrown her to the dogs because he was a terrible sensei for her
Anyone else notice on the final move Miguel did the same kick Robby did in Season 1 where Miguel catches him and attacks his injured arm but this time Robby catches Miguel and yeets the mofucka.
I think the winner of the tournament will face the winner of last tournament which I believe to be the apprentice of Jackie Chan. Connecting him with the universe and actually announcing the new karate kid
Fr, he applied 2 of the quicksilver values on the 3 students he was against in ep 3. If a man can’t stand he can’t fight. Kwon hit one of the students in the throat like terry did to Johnny. Daniel didn’t teach his students any of these even though he used it to beat terry.
I still don't understand why Tory joined Kreese of all people. I was already happy with her and with such ending to part 1 I am not. 2nd thing- I saw only 4 CK students including Tory. I wonder if it means John Kreese and Kim Da-Eun are fighting. If so the kids are in big trouble, as none of them can defeat either Kreese/Kim.
This was the weakest opening out of all six seasons. The acting is terrible. The kids are getting older. It's just getting retreated I hope it gets better!
The episodes should be longer since they're splitting them up also it shoudl at least be monthly they release parts but it did actually feel like a full season too
First 4 eps were 15 mins longer than the usual. That’s two extra eps right there. The final was 40 mins. That’s two eps. So length wise we got basically 8 eps.
2:00 we know Miyagi hated tournements, it's quite likely something happened at the Sekai Takai that caused this and is related to the robbery and assault as well
4:42 did you even watch the show? Daniel LaRusso has always been a hothead. It’s literally talked about all the time. Johnny has always been rough messing up with a good heart. Tori didn’t have a point deducted she got a warning, and Johnny was gonna let her fight it out because he can relate to losing his mother.
Yeah you said Daniel is like the good and balanced one n Jonny is the opposite but if you actually pay attention to the series like Jonny is more balanced and Daniel is unbalanced he strikes first n is a general hypocrite
Bet that the end fight gets changed to a 2v2 fight because of unprecedented reasons, since Kwon has probably no teamwork, and Miguel and Robby will overcome some new differences to win together. Kim senior will beat up his granddaughter and Kreese intervenes in some heroic way before they both get taken to jail. Johnny reclaims Cobra Kai with both Miguel and Robby as his pupils, they finish with a friendly 1v1 duel between Robby and Miguel with the winner not shown, roll credits.
I am beginning to think they should have ended it at season 5... Daniel and Jonny had just learned that mixing their styles would be best. Now they are somehow both back at fighting over whose style is best... Tory and Sam ended being enemies in season 5. And they were friends throughout season 6 just to basically be back at enemies in the end of this season. Devon and Demitri in the team because of cheating and Hawk holding back is just stupid. Why did the have to have Kenny back on the good side just to reverse him to his season 5 self and probably joining Cobra Kai. Against what Robby and his brother told him. I feel like they don't know what to do with these characters. They just reversed them to be able to tell the same story they already did one more time...
Out of the old cast, Chozen and Johnny are the most likeable. This show really made Danny asf. A walking hypocrite: quotes his senses left and right but doesn’t follow his words
Do y'all think anthony will show up as the main champion 1. He performed really well in training compared to others considering his short ttaining time 2. And maybe it was showin in one of previous seasons that miyagu thought he'll be a karate champion
So who gets broken in the Sekai Tekai? My money is on Robby and Devon (possibly by Tory's hand). They have the biggest chip on their shoulders and want this the most. Having them get brutally taken down would raise the stakes and serve as a reality check for the Miyagi-Do students (especially Sam, Miguel and Hawk).
Maybe Silver will return, and/or Kim Sun-Yung will make his final appearance so that the overall conflict (i.e. his influence on Cobra Kai) can be resolved
Part three will start with Daniel waking up from a fever dream and we find out that he’s a hobo living in a sewer pipe, no wife, no kids, and the whole series didn’t actually happen. Ep 2 is his search for Johnny, and probable stalking of the hot babe that he dreamed was his wife . The cliffhanger is him getting his ass whooped by Kyler when he goes to buy diarrhoea medicine. (The CK plot started when Miguel bought diarrhoea gloop, and Kenny’s journey ended when he got the runs.) Ep 3 is Daniel exhuming Mr Miyagi to get his jewellery to pawn so he can open a Miyagi Do in a warehouse. Ep 4 is Daniel kidnapping Stingray and beating his ass until Stingray develops Stockholm Syndrome. The two of them set out to find the elusive Johnny. Ep 5 They find Johnny living in his dead stepdad’s mansion, with Ally (with an i) and three kids named Kreese, Mai, Yaz. Daniel confronts Johnny - Daniel dressed in his hobo threads, Johnny in a silk suit, and they fight. Johnny beats him and Stingray, with the final move a crane kick to the balls. Post credits scene, Daniel returning to Newark on a bicycle.
The Sekai Takai is one of the biggest tournaments in the world and the stadium looked kind of disappointing. I was expecting thousands of people in bleachers sitting down. Similar to the 2010 karate kid tournament
I am a fan of the show but this season has been so bad that it's all been slapped together like a high school movie project.. The acting is bad and the martial arts the actors do it's so bad it is just laughable! Also, the girl coming into the season who put on 50lbs! The show lacks real martial arts moves that look like a bunch of white belts who are so-called champions! William and Ralph are the only ones keeping the show alive!
I have to be honest I was disappointed by the whole Tory thing. So predictable. You raise a good point about Kreese. How does he bop from country to country with the police looking for him? They finally humanize Tory and then turn her character back into a brat. Johnny selling a bonsai tree was funny and thinking he was offered a job too was funny. Added a bit of levity to the show. Dragging it out until November, then finishing off next year is annoying but yet again, very predictable. Hopefully when they wrap this all up next year they will tie up all the loose ends and everyone will feel good.
I like part 1. Yes it was cheesy. We love Cobra Kai cheeze :) . The Frat Brawl was fun. Can’t believe I gotta wait until November just to see part 2 tho
