I have the Cobra tech light otf the rycker side open the Diablo side open and the trapper side open love all of them got them from tuckers gun on hwy 67 in priceville Al and the light otf was $60
Being a huge Microtech fan, the Cobra Tec's that I have are a really good quality and price point. The one thing I noticed is that the large version is a lot more heavier, and I'm not sure why🤣
Yeah my friends knife is a lot healthier and I think it is a different grade of aluminum. I will have a microtech one day but the cobratec scratched my itch for now. Lol
There seem to be alot of people online crapping on this blade. Now I'm not saying it's on par with my ultratech but at less than half the cost, it feels solid.
I agree. I made this video before I really got the Microtec in hand for more than a few minutes. Once I was able to carry one for a while I still think you can't go wrong for the price. Thanks for watching brother.
Love my medium with the Bowie blade I picked it up in meridian Texas that's one of their assembly plants lol I went with the patriotic yellow don't tread on me
I have the full size dbl edged however one side has a small serration which I’m not a big fan of but it’s all good. This is the nicest OTF knife I’ve owned opposed to a cpl cheaper ones I owned. With that said I’ve never had a problem or malfunction with it & even being the full size it fits really nice in my pocket barely knowing it’s there. I paid $175 for mine & when I look at the price of micro tech knives I’m glad I went with Cobratech. It’s superb quality & I trust it 100% as a defensive tool should my side arm malfunction or be taken away. If I are in the search for a good OTF Cobratech is the way to go 👍
I have recently came across a company call Axial Gear and they have a OTF called the Shift that is all American made and $200!! It is my favorite at this point. Check them out. 👊👊🇺🇲🇺🇲
@@dtomknivesandgear6635 will do I love me some knives. I have a sweet little hand made T handle double edged sticker. He made a leather sheath for it as well & when I wear it u can see it. I can’t remember the hardness but I remember it was good. He charges $75-$200 for his knives. I lucked out got this one for $50 for being in the MAG 👍🇺🇸
My main problem with this knife is that all the parts come from China and they put them together on the US. I have seen multiple companies with the exact same knives with just different logos. If it's a good knife , it's a good knife. I do think the wording can be misleading "assembled in the US" just my opinion of course. Great video buddy.
I'll be honest indid not know that when i bought it. Many folks have told me since. It is a good product and I wish it was all made in the states but the folks in Texas are great guys and are still supplying many jobs so I am ok with it. That's just me. I totally get why some aren't. Would I have bought it if I new...I am really not sure. Thanks for watching brother.
@@dtomknivesandgear6635 I agree with that. It's giving people jobs. And there are people that can't afford or don't want 2 pay microtech prices. Not sure it's allot different than an American designer making a knife in China. If anything it help our economy more. I don't hate on China knives. I personally don't buy them. There are so many great American companies I love. I tend 2 go for quality over quantity. I only have like 14 knives in my collection. They are all amazing knives that I love. I have 5 flashlights that are all made in China probably. Q good product is a good product.. period. Thanks for the reply bro. 👊
I had a small cobratec for a few years was a good knife for what it was, but it is nowhere near the quality that a microtech or heretic, or guardian tactical is. I recently got a heretic manticore E and it is night and day difference in the feel of materials. He's not lying they're good for the price. But u can definitely feel the difference. My conratec felt like it weighed 2 pounds in my pocket.
You know these are just $35 Atomic OTFs from GrindWorx rebaged? These are Chinese parts assembled in the US. I'm not saying they are crap, just that you can basically buy 3 Atomics for the same price as one Cobratech for the exact same knife.
