Exercise Cobra Warrior is run twice a year and is the largest air exercise run by the Royal Air Force. The exercise is designed to train participants in high intensity, large force, tactical air warfighting operations. The exercise is taking place from the 2 to 24 March and will see 70 aircraft take part and is being directed by staff at RAF Waddington.
Taking part this year for the first time are contingents from the Finnish, Indian and Royal Saudi Air Forces. The Saudis will be flying six Eurofighter Typhoons from RAF Coningsby. The Indian Air Force are flying five Mirage 2000. Also based at RAF Waddington is six F-16s of the Belgian Air Force and six F-18s from the Finnish Air Force. The Finnish participation is part of a wider training activity in support of the UK led Joint Expeditionary Force, known as JEF Warrior.
The fast jets will be supported by RAF Voyager aircraft conducting air-to-air refuelling operations, flying from RAF Brize Norton. In addition, UK Joint Helicopter Command aircraft will be participating, basing at RAF Leeming. The RAF’s Air Mobility Force will be taking part in the exercise, with sorties including deploying elements of 16 Air Assault Brigade during an associated ground mission, that forms part of the overall exercise scenario.
Squadron Leader Mcfadden, Officer Commanding 92 Squadron said; ''We are looking forward to delivering Exercise Cobra Warrior 23-1. 92 Squadron have developed a challenging Air-led multi-domain exercise focused on pitting our NATO, Joint Expeditionary Force and International partners against a capable peer adversary within a challenging and complex environment''.
This video takes you to the runway, as well as the flightline to witness these military fast jets operating during Cobra warrior.

No commentry? Which was the second fighter ( double engine), after Belgian F16? I could identify Gripen, by their double intake & canards!!( HN411/HN424)

The double engined fighter is the F/A-18 Hornet from the Finnish Air Force. Fighter involved in CW23-1 were F-16, F/A-18, Mirage 2000 & Eurofighter Typhoon (out of RAF Coningsby). In the past we did do commentary, but a lot of people said they preferred just the sound of the aircraft.

@@militaryaviationtv Thanks!!! All these were, Machines, made in 1970-1980's!! It's like everyone arriving in cars of 1975, in 2023!!!( Like car manufacturers hide their creativity, for the fear of copying, countries hide their fifth generation fighters?) Thanks for replying, & your efforts!! It will be two decades away from start of second world war!! Its 100 yrs complete for first world war!! And, prominent countries display their hardware of 1975-80( India received Mirage 2000 in 1985!!), Our enemy no.1 is yet to make an engine capable to cross the Himalayas!! Fortunately, France made a deal of thirty six rafale, to counter, two 'Terror States', we ( India) share our border with!! And US lures us with their state-of-the-art F-35!! Oh what a situation!!

Not quite getting your point... Most of these fighters that were designed in the 70's are still in service for a number of reasons, including cost, development, on-going suitability for their individual roles etc etc...
