Onni cockatoos owners/parents found out he has been up to some tricks with their Amazon Alexa. He has made an ongoing shopping list, but they have no idea how he did it. They do not know how to activate the Alexa skill and thought it would be funny not to learn and just leave it up to Onni and see what happens. Meanwhile they did try to teach Onni to command Alexa to fart. They didn't quite expect what happened next …

As this video was playing, the Alexa on my nightstand was making fart sounds every time she heard it said in the video. When the lady mentioned the shopping list, my Alexa started to tell me what I had on my list. I had to keep telling her to stop. I was laughing at both, and the very cute bird!

Lord knows I'm dying to. we are having so much with the fact that we have no clue how to open up some sort of shopping thing on it and order things. Only Onni knows so far. Right now he annoys the heck out of me because I love listening to music. That is what I use her for. Onni loves saying Alexa now and he is starting to copy my commands like Alexa stop/skip/whatever. Right in the middle of Neal Diamon: ".. ." hands reaching out... touching me... touching YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU, Sweet.." "ALEXA STOP". "GDAMNIT ONNI REALLY? ugh" You and your family is awesome. Charming. Have always loved you. Lil Ollie lol, the baby, axoltol, doggy, etc. Great message and great way of showing how a pet can fit in to families, even challenging ones.

Thank you for giving me the BEST belly laugh first thing in the morning, I shared this with my elderly mom because bird videos like this really set her off (laughing, not cursing) and struggling with chronic health issues and pain, I do whatever I can to bring her more laughter. Onni is a gem. Is he a cuddler, I wonder? I'm going back for another watch... Laughter really is the best medicine. Better than some others I've tried, anyway.

There’s a location in the Alexa app where you can hear recordings of your voice when you give Alexa a command. You should totally check that out next time she does this! Lol

I found the part where whatever you say is documented in text. That was pretty cool. I have no idea where (geez is it in this vid?) Where I grabbed screen shots of what he's said (in text). But there is a place where I can match the actual audio to text?

They never cease too amaze me. I am the proud parrot parent say that 4 times fast. Of 4 fids. That's bird lingo for "kids" folks. One Senegal, One Black Capped Conure, 1 Alexandrine, and last but not least 1 Congo African Grey. And just like Onni they surprise me with their intelligence EVERYDAY. I've been in the avian field now for nearly 40yrs having "hands on" experience with everything from Warblers to Birds of Prey. So bird are truly my passion and feathered jewels in my humble opinion. Great job raising Onni she's a beautiful bird and in VERY good health i must say. I don't see many Cockatoo's that are in full feather as most have feather plucking issues. So your certainly doing something right with her diet and behavioral stimulation which they A LOT of.

OH THE EMBARRASSMENT - I had no idea anyone in the house had done this - when ‘Alexa’ was first said, ours replied with ‘you’ve disabled Big Fart in the past’ 😟
