Saw the one at the vet the other day while they actually trimmed his toenails. Poor boy. After today toenail trim and getting sick in car. Seems so greatful just to be home. Bit of anxiety attack, knowing he's going? Thanks Dan for sharing, Max quite the character. ♥️🕊️♥️
How many years have we watched these toenail videos? I never get tired of them! He certainly has perfected his protestations. Max, we’re on to you. We saw how sweet those ladies treat you last month. Dan, you’re a saint!
How he casts his eyes down when Dan says “It’s time to go to the doctor” and “It’s time to get your toenails trimmed.” Poor Max. He complains, but he knows it does no good. I love you, Max, and am sorry that the carrier freaks you out!
Max is so cute!!! He did not want to go to the Vet!! He wanted to hide and rant hoping it would work! I love this bird! Thank you for sharing his life with us!! Birds and any pets have a way that of making our day go better. I love when I say Good morning to my cockatiels and they start laughing at me!!
‘Tell me how you really feel’😂 It’s sad that Max gets so much anxiety over getting his nails done. It’s not a fun day for you either then, but of course our pets don’t know that😜 and yes, we know that they’re only going to feel better when it’s over and done with. I understand Max totally. My Babes runs under a couch into a corner knowing I can't get him. It happens every three months. He becomes a flirt with the techs and other birds at the vet and is so sweet on the way home. Typical, but I love him no matter what he does.

Oh Max! You always give an excellent oral argument as to why you cannot go into the evil carrier. I’m so happy hi got your toe nails done but sad you were sick on the way home. the adorable hi and baby birds squeak and little clucks makes you extra adorable, even if yiur feathers were ruffled a bit. You don’t want daddy to leave you by yourself to play with your toys. I hope that you had a nice dinner. Your cage is gorgeous! All those new gorgeous wood toys! Poor Max……I can empathize as I suffer car sickness and I hate people to touch my feet too. Due to childhood trauma my feet are off limits. However due to disability my toe nails must be cut by podiatrist. It’s been difficult for all of us. I share your pain. ❤️🔷❤️🌹
Well, the last few times our boy had to go to the vet's, he tried to reason with Dad Dan. He presented his case, and pretty much kept his cool. Alas, he still had to go. Our diplomatic, adorable boy KNOWS he'll have to end up going, and he is running out of approaches... Thank you, Dad Dan, for showing us our sweetie after the POST drama. It's so real to him. Also, thanks for the update on our Dusty Kitty. Hopefully, it'll be a relaxing Friday in Somewhere, PA... and for the rest of us, 'TOO. 🤠🤠🤠💘💘💘🙏🏻🕊🥰🥰🐈🙏🏻 P.S. Dad Dan, our parrot is a yellow-naped Amazon version of our boy, Max, in terms of vet visits, traveling to and fro, and getting him in the carrier. Since we bought a completely, ***see through carrier, things have gotten easier, in multiple respects. I don't know if that would help...

I learned to shut all extra doors before taking out my cat carrier. 😂. And it wasn’t out until the last second. I’d sneak it out, and nearly every time she wouldn’t realize I was walking toward it with her in my arms because she was also distracted. And I wouldn’t hold her directly facing the carrier. I’d get yelled at all the way to the Vet.

I always feel bad for sweet Max when it is vet time. It breaks my heart to hear that Max got car sick. It would be great if vet employees would make house visits, so innocent terrified animals can be spared some suffering. My 2 female mixed Chihuahuas are very scared of the vet. I am thinking about having a mobile vet come by the house to clip their nails. Sure, it would cost more, but minimizing my pet's anxiety and suffering is my priority. I pray for Max, Dan, and Dusty daily. ❤️🙏💕😘😘😘
