I love how the Captain is handed the pen to sign the flight plan like some kind of demi-God... and they are still wearing their uniform jackets when strapped in to their seats! You can really tell it's 1993 :-)

I have flown on this sector, from JFK to IST. Good flight, but since 2005 when I flew with THY their inflight product has changed completely with new seats and personal entertainment in all classes with the equipment changed from an Airbus 340 to Boeing 777. I could never imagine THY winning the Best Airline in Europe award twice in a row. But they have improved to the point where they did it.

This flight' s captain Altan Tezcan was fired from Turkish Airlines in 1997 because of fighting with first Officer during flight.

Turkish Airlines is awesome..but best in the world ? I dont think so ... There are other great airlines like Emirates, Singapore, Qatar, Thai etc!
