It’s something about how she romanced this song. She seems much more intentional versus performative. I might be selfish or on to something when I say this… I think she should focus on music right now. She’s clearly multitalented but something feels seasonally aligned with her music. However, with the little marketing hat I have, I see her taking time to make sure she’s seen as an expert in one sector first.. that can help onlookers not to become overwhelmed and for her to not let one talent overshadow the other. Especially bc her personality is so infectious, she runs the risk of falling into that space where singers don’t become their musical selves bc other areas of their makeup shine brighter. That’s what Tamar Braxton has been cursed with. Literally, she’s so damn entertaining as a personality her music tends to comes second, yet it can be argued she could be seen as one of thee best vocalists of her time. Might I add, Tamar makes great music. So, I hope coco decides to clearly map out for us, what her primary and secondary is. Also time her projects so that an intentional depiction that represents her in the way she wants to be received. Music is her first love, let us see just that!
