from the link: 3/4 cup (96g) coconut flour sifted 2 eggs or flax egg substitute* 6 tablespoons butter (85g) or coconut oil (81g) solid 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
Thanks for sharing 😃👍. It would be great to have the amount of each ingredient in grams for maximum accuracy. Including the egg, since the classifications vary from country to country and even the size in the same category (UK 😅)
That's true. Eggs can vary greatly (I am in Mexico right now). But a good ballpark range is 50g for a large egg (57g with shell). So 100g egg liquid for this recipe
It's not as easy to handle as regular pie dough, but should work for cookies. However, I have a coconut flour sugar cookie recipe here that may work better ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RckvCnTecoo.html
Can we combine coconut and almond flour with this recipe? Like 1/2 c. coconut flour and 1/4 c. almond flour? It would be perfect! Please reply thank you!
I think this might work though I haven't tried it. You may actually need more than 1/4 cup almond flour (it is less absorbent than coconut flour) to get to the same dough texture.
Leelalicious, Using your recipe I made this crust for the first time and it was delicious with the apple filling I use. Do you not oil your pie pan before placing the sheet of dough in to it? I did with a little bit of coconut oil to avoid sticking? Thank you for sharing and thanks for the detailed explanation on your page.
Yum! Using this crust for apple pie sounds amazing. In regards to your question, no I don't grease the pan. I never had any sticking issues. I think because there is plenty of grease in the dough. Or maybe because I used a non-stick pie pan. So maybe if using a glass or ceramic pie dish greasing it is not a bad idea

"Pat the ball into a disc shape and chill for 20 mins in the fridge. Or speed up the process by placing the disc in the freezer for 5 mins. Continue reading below how to roll out the dough." If you click on the link above it will take you to the recipe
Why can't you include the recipe? Secondly there is no way you can make a dough and roll it as coconut flour has no gluten. Did you substitute it? i am not convinced
Why would I try to trick anyone by making a fake video with different flour 🤷♀️ I assure you that is coconut flour in this video. It is the egg and butter that hold everything together. It doesn't become stretchy but it still holds up to rolling. And if you don't want to roll it, you can also just press the dough into the pie pan by hand. I just find that takes longer and is usually not as even.
Sorry not for me, it would not come together, was just a mass o crumbs. I added a little more water it came together a bit better but had craters all over it after cooking!
I was just looking in here for an answer about why all the crumbs and how to fix it and I did add more oil and maybe it helped a little but I cannot see how I can roll this out with all of the crumbs. Does anyone know what to do in this case?
Toni, I see you tried this years ago and I added 1 more egg and more oil and it helped but there’s still no way I would be able to roll this with a pin, being as crumbly as it is so I just pressed it into the pie pan and now I’m refrigerating. We will see.
