Hi, I would not use that product and would certainly not recommend it. Use a water-free product instead because water free products can be chemical free. The product that you mentioned is water based. Water based products contain chemical preservatives which prevent microbial growth in the product. And these are toxic and harmful for women, their hormone system, and their skin flora. (the water in this product is disguised on as “juice”, which marketers start to adopt as it suggests more “value” to the consumer. Water based products have up to 85% or 95% water). The product you mentioned contains Sodium Benzoate (among other chemicals). When you look up this ingredient you will find it is an antimicrobial. You will also find that it is linked to health issues. The vaginal microbiome, predominantly composed of various Lactobacillus species, plays a crucial role in maintaining vaginal health by regulating the pH and protecting against infections. Disrupting this balance can lead to issues like bacterial vaginosis or yeast infections. It is better to have a moisturizer/lube that is pH balanced but that does NOT kill our beneficial bacteria. Why would we want to put an antimicrobial down there that can upset our vaginal flora? It’s reasonable to be cautious about introducing any substance with antimicrobial properties into this sensitive environment. When choosing personal lubricants or moisturizers, it's advisable to look for products formulated to be chemical free and pH balanced to not interfere with the natural vaginal microbiome. I would recommend damiva.com/mae (damiva.com/mae) for moisturization because it is chemical free, pH optimized and long term safe. When you look up Sodium Benzoate, you will find information that it is a hormone disruptor (it messes up our hormones, one of the last things that women like us, who are in menopause, need). Research has indicated that it has been associated with DNA damage, increased oxidative stress, and inflammation. Studies have suggested that sodium benzoate can affect reproductive health, including impacts on the ovaries in mice, decreasing testosterone levels and thyroid hormones, altering the weight of reproductive organs, decreasing sperm count and motility, and increasing the percentage of abnormal sperms. The real kicker comes in when you think about how many cosmetics, skin care and fem care products are used every day by each woman and what the cumulative, compound effect is - or how their chemical ingredients react with each other. For instance, the sodium benzoate mentioned above: when sodium benzoate is combined with ascorbic acid (vitamin C), this combination can form benzene, which is a known carcinogen. I hope this helps.

There is a difference between sugar that you ingest (that is not good) and sugar that is applied topically. Topical sugar can be actually good as various studies show. One study for instance shows that in 560 women who were treated with one of three options (placebo, sucrose gel, and an antibiotic) that the sugar was as effective as the antibiotic in actually curing bacterial infections.

Thank u so much for making this video. I am 47yrs old and was told I was peri menopausal at 43yrs of age but recently started getting UTI’s, BV and yeast infections just a couple months ago (Never had these problems before 🤷‍♀️) I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with Vaginal Atrophy, the doctor recommended using coconut oil for a lubricant so I can continue intimacy with my husband but I don’t need any help throwing my Ph balance off lol. Do i have any specific recommendations for me by chance?? I’ve never had to use lubricants before so idk anything about them other than what u mentioned. According to what I got from this video, I need a lubricant with ph balance of 3.5-4.5 I’m assuming is listed on the bottle I hope 🤞🙄

go to damiva.com and look for mae and cleo. They are pH optimized and chemical free, which is so important as the chemicals that are used in water-based lubes and vaginal moisturizers are hormone disruptors and increase dryness over time.
