I have the Mahogany Coconut in the dark blue glass and it burns very clean (no soot at all) and strength and throw very good. Fills my large bedroom quickly. That is the only version I own. I have burned 3/4 of the candle.
I enjoyed Mahogany Coconut at one point, which surprised me. I purchased one during SAS and burned a little over half of it and I’m kind of tired of it lol. It did perform well. Burned clean and had good throw. I just got tired of the scent. Mahogany Vanilla I like more since the vanilla cuts the mahogany. Not as intense. Haven’t burned that one yet though.
Metaphors about people in our life--this got deep! Mahogany Vanilla is a candle I always think about buying and never pick it up. I think the Mahogany Teakwood note is too burned into my memory as Abercrombie & Fitch store in the 2000s with the “models” wearing two layers of polos with popped collars. Mahogany Teakwood is my stepmom’s favorite, bless her heart.
Hey friend!! This was an amazing story!! You’re so funny 😊. I enjoyed watching your videos 👍 when I burned this one the coconut stands out and it reminded of me of a beach trip I enjoy this one . Did you enjoy the Coastal Sea Spray from about 3-4 yrs ago? I love that one I just it were stronger I always had hopes it would come back but stronger haha 😊 I have 1 of those left and I’m seriously considering just burning it because I don’t think it’ll ever come back 😒 haha. Thank you for sharing!! 🐚🥥
You crack me up. You never know what bbw will combine 😂 Out of all the mahogany scents , i like the coconut combo the best. Hope there’s some Kringle ones you enjoy😃Thanks
Mahogany Coconut is one of those candles you have to burn in order to appreciate it lol...I love it. Currently loving Mahogany Balsam as well and I adore Mahogany Vanilla. I'm cracking up at the Mahogany/Strawberry Poundcake mash-up 🤣...I believe they did a blend with Mahogany Teakwood & Rosewater & Ivy one summer. I have the yellow iridescent packaging from Candle Day that I'll be burning soon.
Have you tried Fiji White Sands?😊 That one was a nice surprise to me. The sandalwood is creamier and although it doesnt have coconut in the scent notes, I detect coconut lol. Lovely scent!❤
Oh I so love the Mahogany coconut burning in my house in spring and summer evenings! I didn’t know it had lavender in it I don’t remember that note ever being spelled out on the label and I certainly don’t smell lavender thank goodness. I just tried the mahogany vanilla one this year based on your recommendation and I also love it. I definitely can’t do mahogany teakwood though that one is just too overpowering and manly for my liking
Hey girl! I’ve been so busy I’m finally catching up on all your vids. Mahogany Coconut is right up there with Pink Lavender and Espresso for me; in terms of new-ish BBW that I’ve found hoard-worthy in the last several years. I’ve got three versions of Mahogany Coconut. The worst version is this lighter-blue that you’re reviewing. Classic halfway bull$h!t. Last year it came out in the neutrals line in a navy blue vessel, it burns a little better than this one and has the same thin core-wicks. The best version came out for candle day. It’s in a bright sort of pastel/neon yellow. It has the thin curling wicks and performs like a dream - similarly to this version of coconut sandalwood. Right down to the wick nickles. I wish I could post pictures here lol. The neutrals versions live out the last half of their lives in my crock and absolutely envelope whichever room they’re in. I love it so much it doesn’t even bother me much that I can’t burn it all the way down. Why they went back to using the core wick for this version is beyond me! I really hope we see the candle day version again this summer.
GREG!!! I’ve been wondering where you were 😉 Sooo good to hear about the pastel one, because I have a feeling we will see it in the summer sale. Yeah I’m starting to notice a trend in the neutrals packaging. They burn badly most of the time. That makes me super sad because I love the aesthetic.
I’ve never totally put that together but you’re so right - the neutrals have been consistently terrible bottom-half performers. That’s got me thinking the jars they use for these could be part of the problem. They get extremely hot.
Sarita I could not help but notice that your nails match the Mahogany Coconut jar, nice! Was that intentional? 😊 A customer bought 3 of the MC candles for the 10 off 30 sale. I heard good review from them. Just love your videos ❤
I LOVE Mahogany Coconut. I have the pearlescent yellow one from Candle Day and it burns cleanly and evenly! Every neutrals candle I've purchased in the past six months soots like crazy! I truly believe those jars are to blame for the high burn temp and subsequent sooting. Cardamom Vetiver is the exception, though.
@@coffeecandles3359 Cardamom & Vetiver is great! I'd love to hear your thoughts when you get around to burning it. With the neutrals jars, it's always the halfway point at which the candle takes a sooty turn and all of a sudden the candle is mucky brown 🤷. I'm past the halfway point with my Cardamom & Vetiver and the wax is still clear and the rim of the jar isn't coated in black, so I'm hopeful it will burn nicely til the end. Sorry your Mahogany Coconut didn't burn so well 😔. That's always such a bummer.
These smell really good on cold. I might burn Palo Santo before Coconut Sandalwood. Yesterday I found Homeworx's Tiare Mango and Rootbeer Float at Ulta and at T.J. Maxx found Coastal Sands and Hinoki Woods & Bamboo. Finally they had a few candles each at these places! I'm burning Woodwick's Cinnamon Chai for the second time and enjoying the fragrance. Wouldn't be surprised if BBW does Coconut Teakwood, Coconut Cedarwood, Coconut & Pine, Coconut & Eucalyptus, Coconut & Juniper Berry, Coconut & Oak and Coconut & Bayberry in the future. For example, Yankee has done Apples & Bayberry, Bayberry & Citrus, Bayberry & Evergreen, Pine Berry, Iced Pine & Berry, Pine & Bayberry. Homeworx did do Coconut Birch. I find it interesting what combinations they come up with.
