I agree that the game is better than mw2. Level design, story, music is better than mw2. It’s just the graphics of mw2 look better imo, but not by a whole lot
@@VITAS874 mw2 has better lighting , from what i remember. And it had arguably the best maps in the franchise, although cod4/waw/blops1 all had very good maps.
When the truck crashes on Game Over if you repeatedly switch weapons with the RPG as you crash you'll end up with 3 gun slots during the final defense. Found that one as a kid on accident.
13:00 makes sense as the devs want to teach you specifically about knifing, and they know shooting it is the instinctive thing most players will do so they circumvented it
when you going to exfill after save nikolai in blackout mission, you can see the chopper pilot is the loyalist russian, and than aflter the SAM missle hit the chopper ( in mission Hunted) the corpse changing into the bristish SAS
Well not sure about that, i believe they were the only truck left during that scene or if not alone were far behind so it's not even possible to be heard
While it's graphics might be dated, I'll never stop loving the look of COD4. That gritty, cold, grey and depressing color pallet puts it in a league of it's own -- even today. To me, COD4's art direction is the _definition_ of what a war game should look like. I wish modern games weren't so vibrant/colorful and afraid of looking "depressing."
The cold grey look has always made the game look more modern to me, especially compared with the smudgy bloomy brown war games that came before it, and even waw which came after
That Zakhaev second pistol reminds me of General Shepherd in the MW2 Museum - he can pull out an extra .44 magnum if you get him to run out of ammo, and then another one if you put him into last stand
4:48 he probably said it because when you hit the brakes it takes time for the truck to stop, so he said stop the bloody truck. this is at least what i think happens.
What would happen to the BMPs if you blew up the leading vehicle first? Would they just drive forward and clip through it, or would the universe explode, or something in between?
One year later and we still haven't found out the answer to your question. Jokes aside, my guess is that the BMPs behind the destroyed one would simply clip through it, much like how the driverless cars outside the SAS training facility drive through each other.
It's been a long while but I remember with the cluster grenades cheat you got from collecting Intel your could destroy them and they would stop where they are at and attack you I think
On the OG COD4 , if you get 8s time on the cargoship mockup, price will say it's garbage. Getting a slower record (e.g have 20.45s then get a 23.75 time) makes Price tell you "You're getting slower. Perhaps it was a mistake to let you skip the obstacle course."
For the auto drive cars and other stuff, this problem actually still exists in MWR pvp. If u get a good angle u will see the choppers are all empty. Also not sure if this was mentioned before, in MWR u can actually see EACH ROUND disappear when shooting with the P90 and G36 that has translucent mags, while in MW2019, the MCX(M13)'s translucent mag doesn't move at all. (Tested in season 2 not sure if fixed)
Not sure about this, but that is a trick form games to load less structure so the game engine wont cause any problem, devs of GTASA also did this to helicopters, it's just a way to load off some engine burdens
3:34 Similarly in All Ghillied Up when you are crawling under the trucks Captain MacMillan literally has 1 HP so similarly throwing a grenade at him kills him instantly and you get the "Your actions got Cpt. Macmillan killed" fail screen.
Still the greatest first person shooter game ever created. I still come back to this game every so often. Despite the remaster, I just love the style of the original more.
2:30 I actually triggered this "dead body coming back to life" glitch a different way. I decided to see what would happen if you did the out of map glitch from the MW2 spec ops mission Hidden on CoD4. So I did the glitch in the shipment crates, skipped the bloody convention, and went to the bit with the dead man and the dog, and he was still alive.
In the mission where you and the other sas members along with the Russians rescue Nikolai from execution, The Chopper pilots of the exfil are actually Russian. By looking at the Blackhawk window, you can see they wear Russian Military Uniform (Ushanka, Russian Insigna, etc.)
3:20 it also says infinity ward on multiple multiplayer maps where arabic is used on storefronts, I translated it with my dad when I was little because we had learned arabic
HI, I think I found an additional thing in the mission; Hunted. There is no RPG in this mission (even if we use give all cheats) but it did however have an AK-47 with GP-25 which can be used to shot down the helicopter that appeared in the earlier. The Heli wasn't meant to be shot down and unlike the one in the final mission, the heli in this mission will spun out of control after taking 2-3 rounds from GP-25 but it will never crash. But at the end of the mission, I think another heli will spawn and this time, it can be shot down using stinger missile in the barn. Try it because it's quite interesting and funny at the same time :-)
Interesting. I played a lot of COD4 on the Wii and did notice a few of the things(namely the whole invincible watermelon and the scripted hind sequence) but I never knew there was much more to see. Although for the BMP part, it's likely they just reskinned one of the generic BMPs that's taken from many missions which are usually always destructible either by explosives or scripted to be destroyed by RPG.
I remember in 2007, cod4 was like the most graphically advanced game of its time. The reflections, gun polygons, all of those things blew me away. Bonus was bullets can now pass through objects. My pentium 4 computer was screaming and could barely push 30fps. Good times
I remembered having this game on our family Toshiba Laptop and I always pushed the boundaries by playing on max graphics, it looked like a slide show. Good times LoL
in the mission where the nuke goes off, when you go to rescue a squad before the cobra gets shot down, you can noclip and fly to the edge of the city where you can find a lone T72 that keeps respawning on itself no matter how many times you blow it up.
@@memedealer171 I got them on the Xbox if the live servers were still up I’d say let’s meet up, but MWO on pc is the only place to do it now, but if you love the mechassault universe you should check it out, join a squad and start kickin ass, plus you can optimize your mech your way
3:36 I your wondering why this gunner dies from the explosion of a flashbang here's my theory. In every cod game in order to give you the blinded or slowed effect of flashes or stuns/concussion grenades it needs to deal a little bit of damage to you. This damage is barely noticeable but I have killed people in bo2 with the detonation of a concussion and I even killed a soldier in mw3 spec ops with a flash. But it's my theory.
Maybe I’m just a fanboy but imo CoD4 still looks decent after all these years. Honestly I’d be content with games coming out with this level of graphical quality if they had this level of gameplay quality. Absolute masterpiece.
The video was really good, reminds me of early RU-vid content in a good way, but you could sound a bit more confident. The material is both interesting and well presented so just match that with the tone and you'll be golden. Great vid man keep it up!
Amazing details I didn’t even notice until today. The Modern Warfare trilogy remains as some of my all time favourite videogames especially COD 4. It was probably one of the first games I ever played
11:40 If you can notice on training course wooden target they have painted Opfor characters but if you played CoD4 SAS never fought wit Opfor only with Spetsnaz,USMC didnt fought with Spetznas only with OpFor
The water reflection one reminded me of another trick IW pulled for water reflection, but in CoD MW3: During the mission where you raid some docks in London with the SAS ("Mind the Gap"), there is a yacht in the distance. That Yacht is just 2D image, and its reflection on the water, is actually the same image but inverted and it is just stretched on the water surface which when watched from the map, created the illusion of it being a water reflection
2 years late but I know that model. I always thought why they made a detailed yatch model in the final mission while it's very far away in the distance, while Mind the gap had a 2d model. Lmao.
Another detail is that shooting the dog in All Ghillied Up (the one with the dead Russian who Mac tellls you to leave alone) will not fail the mission. If you're skilled enough and have nothing better to do like me, you can kill all his buddies and continue the mission. MacMillan talks about how close of an encounter it was.
I remember My nerd friend finding most of these out Back in 2008 with PS3 version, such a throwback 😂 still remember him being frustrated about The hind copter being invincible at The last mission
Did you know that on the multiplayer map that’s named cargo I think it’s the small one but if you go in spectator and go behind the building where the water tower is you can see that the water tower is on top of a truck
I swear I remember being able to shoot the watermelon in cod4. It wouldn't break the game or anything, Gaz would just put another one down for you to knife.
#7 Could be seen differently. It's commonly seen in movies where British Soldiers will talk to themselves about what others should do. In this instance, there is a vehicle in front of them. Usually in that kind of formation, the lead vehicle needs to stop first. Hence Gaz saying "stop the truck", meaning the lead needs to stop in order for them to stop. Or it could be a mistake! 🤣
3:50 well, he must constantly shoot that loud gun, defenseless, while the enemy get closer and closer every second, must give him panic attack and that flashbank just give him a heart attack
on FNG there is an AK74U with GP25 launcher. I think we don't get to have this attachment anywhere in the game whether it's a solo campaign or multiplayer?
fun fact: the game had a HUGE mistake where they used Arabic instead of Urdu, because the game is set in Pakistan, having Arabic as the main language is innacurate. in their defense Arabic is very close to Urdu i guess.
