Time to take a break of CoD4. Maybe MW2 next?? Or what do you guys think? My Speedrun.com Profile: www.speedrun.com/user/Surviv0r My Steam Profile: www.steamcommunity.com/id/las...
my best time is 14.1 too. but i'm not as fast as this guy, Accuracy bonus can make a big difference in that part of the game so i guess in theory better is possible? (i know he always says he's seen better even if it's a TAS run)
At first I was thinking "Man, the original doesn't look as good as I remember..." then I realized it was the settings. Lots of cool tricks here, I love the nudging of the sniper and Price to get them going faster. The end of OSOK with falling out of the chopper was really funny, too. Awesome run.
The intense Crew Expendable escape with its dramatic music combined with the player's bunny-hopping and exaggerated sprinting makes it feel like the kind of comedy you'd see out of _Airplane!_ or other films that parodied long drawn-out action scenes!
This whole thing reminds me of an over excited dog: impatiently waiting for doors to be opened and looking back expectantly at its owners who can't keep up
still the funniest cod4 speed run i’ve watched, you showing some cool bugs and glitches while getting the world record was crazy. hopefully you’ll make more for other cod games
what an ace run!!! congrats! One noob question though, in Death From Above, there was a point in the junkyard where you stopped firing, even though there were still people running out, is this simply because you are waiting for the voice line from price and they can take care of it in the meantime or would it take longer to smoke them?
Thank you for the compliment and congratulations! As for your question, Death From Above works mostly on timers and "kill tolls". Say, "Kill 10 enemies in 8 seconds". Once this objective is completed, you can just take a break until the next one. In the junkyard section, these timers are really long, which is why I just stopped shooting. You can shoot, but you don't have to!
Placing the claymores down actually speeds up the section. As soon as you have placed all of them down, the game advances. Blowing them up is just for safety!
@@Surviv0r I also had a question from that mission, at the end when you glitch through the evac heli and stay to fight, does that speed up the cutscene or something?
Man I'd love to see a Speedrun attempt with commentary. Like you telling cpt. price to hurry up, already cleared the building, hey guys I got this one watch this, etc...
Good work mate, is this still the world record? Shame that this game, or remastered version of it, isnt being played. I thought about buying the remastered version on steam, literally nobody playing it. 80 people per month, world wide.
Interesting, what's the trick in "bog" not to have to shoot all 4 javelins? Only 2 to the right in this video and none to the left. Very surprised how that works.
Wow, the graphics haven't aged well... Did remember it much more pretty 😅 But I was always pretty pissed about the ships sinking scene. The Migs probably shot rockets at the ship, so only one side would let water in. The entrance was well above the water line so there shouldn't be any water coming in in the first place... While running towards the exit, the ship is capsizing portside and additional water flows in from randomly opening cracks on the starboard side that is lifted even higher above sea level. But the funniest and most unrealistic part is the "running up a flooded staircase scene" at 7:21. Nobody would run or even go easily up that staircase. Especially not in that angle while flooded. But nice speedrun!
This was a pretty interesting and insightful comment. I haven't noticed any of this, except the staircase portion. That always seemed so funny to me how they run up a wet metal staircase in such an angle without even gripping anything.
i think price just says stuff like that to motivate his men to push themselves harder. they'll get less motivated to improve if they think theyre already the best.
"It's the FNG, sir." The FNG: *Saves the world in 1 hour and 35 minutes Price: Right. What the hell kind of name is Soap? How'd a muppet like you pass Selection, eh?
This is fairly accurate :D But there is some stuff that is done "quietly" that makes the AI move faster. This is really hard to spot if you aren't familiar with the game
@@Surviv0r I noticed you pushing the sniper out of the woods on ultimatum, and throwing grenades at price in the war room, I guess to get him closer to the next place he was going to run to
@@Jek47 Yup, those two are some noticeable ones. There are also some grenade strategied on Hunted and One Shot, One Kill, which I don't do. But an example of what I said could be the beginning of Ultimatum. You kill the enemies in the beginning at a specific time so your allies run instead of doing this weird fast walk. Saves 15 seconds approximately
Hey man I wanted to let you know I think you’re incredibly talented. I reacted to a part of your run on tiktok, and the video is nearing 800k views, just in case you wanted to be aware 🤣
Hey mate! I'm super happy to see that the video has been well received and I could brighten up your and someone else's day/week :) Always nice to have people react, us CoD runners don't get that much time in the spotlight. Keep up the content grind, and I'll do the same!
En nyt ihan launchista asti. 2007 olin 7v, että tuollon ei tullu pelattua PC:llä erityisemmin. CoD4 on semmonen On/Off peli itellä. Tykkäsin PS3:lla hakata pienempänä, ja PC:llä oonkin sit runnannu "vaan" 281 tuntia, ja semmoset 100h(?) MP:tä. ProModia pääosin ja vähän DM. Mutta kiitokset kommentista! Virkistävää nähdä suomee täälläkin.
