Fun fact #1: Gildas says Martym is killed to Barbas despite him very clearly retreating. I'm not sure if this is supposed to trick Barbas or just an oversight. Probably not as this is Chapter 3 and Martym has to be alive for story. Fun fact #2: If you beef up Lanselot enough with nice equipment/charms, he can solo Barbas and win the duel solo. However there is no special dialogue for that. Barbas still blames Denam for his loss as usual. There is no variation of sorts in CODA 3. But has a very unique mechanic. Barbas and Lanselot are in a duel. Meaning nobody will attack Lanselot other than Barbas. And Barbas won't attack any of your units. Until the duel is interrupted. It can get interrupted in two ways. First, attacking Barbas in any way, he will get mad at you and cancel the duel. Second, if only 5 of his men remain. He will insult his men for their inability and will aid them. When any of this scenarios happen duel ends. Duel ending disables all of the battle dialogue other than Catuia and Vyce. So if you want to get those you better not hurt the Mr. Dud Goose. But Catiua one or vyce one will not trigger before duel interrupt. Ozma one is a bit tricky, sometimes it does not trigger at all. Can't figure out the triggers behind it. I did the CODA content like this so people can enjoy it without the grind to reach it, I hope you enjoyed it. As always I recommend you subscribe for more if you have not already. Cheers.
Awesome. This project is perfect-- exactly what I was looking for. If you plan to do it in this order Coda 2 -> Coda 3 -> Coda 4 -> Coda 1 -> Base game, I'd recommend doing Neutral route first, since a lot of people skip that one, despite the Vyce and Nybeth stuff being pretty essential to appreciating/understanding the depth of the story.
I was wondering about which order to do this all, thanks a lot for the feedback. Netural route is severely underplayed by players as seen from the Steam stats which is really sad. Glad you enjoyed it.
Yeah compared to Loslorien, Holy Knights are rather bland, for gameplay reasons most like. Lanselot is really disappointing though for all the effort to get to him.
That's why we enjoy this channel as tactics ogre: the series. We could play drinking games with gameplay flaws like AI counterattacking their own guys when not suicidal, spamming lobber bombs that ignore defense and reflecting attacks with dragons who can trap final boss, Warren report unlocking is difficult, especially with Azelstan, and RIP playable Rogue. I never understood the "lore" behind this. The narration comes from Klaire, but Denam has the power of the World Tarot... Who was responsible for changing the future then? Klaire wishing too hard for it? Or did Denam do it to save Lanselot despite Klaire's despair? It's a nice throwback to the fans of the game that always wished for Lanselot to end up well instead of... broken... but it was still very confusing writing.
It's really unknown. CODA 4 has a similar plot and the text at the last warren report node of it refers to the events as a "phantasm". Which implies a dream of sorts, accurate for coda 4. There is however no info of such about coda 3. And probably won't be ever. I guess its best to just enjoy the extra story without much overthink.
