SUBSCRIBE FOR MORE CELEB INTERVIEWS! Emmy-Winner Jake Hamilton talks with the stars of the new AppleTV+ movie CODA -- Emilia Jones, Marlee Matlin, Troy Kotsur and Daniel Durant
Hi Jake! Just wanted to thank you and your team for having interpreters for ALL of the actors, even Emilia, so that all of the dialogue was signed in some way. Plus the direction/editing was excellent in that the interpreter and signing actors were always clearly visible. That makes the video more accessible to the deaf audience who are interested in this film.
Okay, this interviewer is fantastic. He asks deep and interesting questions, brings a lot of enthusiasm, and talks to Marlee, Troy, and Daniel like any other normal person. I've found some interviewers are a little "fake" or "overreact" when talking to disabled actors, but this guy is as real as it gets. Kudos to the interpreters, too!
Amazing movie with perfect casting and such a beautiful set of rewind-and-play loop-worthy scenes. This better earn some awards because this is arguably the movie of 2021.
A movie hasn't moved me in such a profound way in a very long time. I couldn't stop crying after the film finished. Such a beautiful story told magnificently.
A very successful movie, full of human kindness. Everyone likes "Coda" very much, a story about a special group of deaf-mute people in society who are kind, self-reliant, and considerate. Congratulations!
I've been watched so many great movie drama...,but this one is really something..! And realized the cast are actually deaf and they're played the role just too good..that was amazingggggg..!!! 👍👍
Because the fishing scenes involved real fishing the cast and crew had to abide by local fishing rules. One day they actually had to bring an observer with them (life imitating art from the movie) and they had to move one of the crew members from the boat set since they could only have a maximum of 10 people on the boat.
Amidst all the relatively more "hyped" and well-marketed movies with superstar cast, I think this movie is not getting enough attention. but what a gem this is. we need more movies like this. I started the movie without knowing that it was based on "la famille bellier," and I liked it better than the original french movie. all of them are real deaf actors and that's why their acting got me choked up...
I find the she singing and daddy just look around at people faces and there's no sound scene so terrible because I can fully hear my ugly sobs for a few minutes.
couldn't agree more with you, even performances!! Emilia Jones's performance got unnoticed because of biopics of icons.Even Renate Reinsve in worst person in the world got unnoticed Coda deserves a the attention, I hope it wins best picture award, more people need to watch this movie, this needs more recognition!
CODA was so great. It gave me the same vibes as the amazing series Parenthood. The acting was so on point. I agree with Daniel Durant. I'm ready for a series with a deaf lead! Come on Hollywood, make it happen!
When will I be able to buy the movie Coda on iTunes or on Amazon. When will you be able to bring it to iTunes, Hulu, or even Netflix so I’m able to rent the. Movietoo
We need CODA 2 where the brother develops his relationship with the girl and a non deaf family with a deaf girl moves there. Now the brother needs to make a decision on which girl to be with.
