Code Black Turkey Pattern Test, Long Beard XR vs Remington Nitro, Patternmaster! Benelli M2

In preparation for the fall turkey season, we were out testing the Patternmaster Code Black Turkey choke tube with the Winchester Long Beard XR vs the Remington Nitro Turkey. We also tested the factory “turkey choke”. The factory choke was laughable at best, but the Winchester XR out of the Benelli M2 was perfect. Not to tight of a pattern, just enough forgiveness and still a very tight pattern even at 40 yards. I would easily take a shot at 50-60 yards with this Patternmaster Code Black Turkey choke with the Winchester Long Beard XR shells.!

On your video about fixing case bulge on Glock 9mm; you said you used the Lee Bulge Buster, but The Lee website states the Bulge Buster “ Will only work with 380, 10mm, 40 S&W, and 45s”. But you said you are using it with a 9mm. Can you tell me how you did it please? Thanks

I did get a chance to run 400 rounds through the anaconda mid range tube. Very deadly!!!

Awsome comparison. Iv ran Remington in #4 in my guns think I got 1 left have a trouble of using them for squirrel hunting. 😅. In mossberg 500 . Or know Hatfield sas 12ga it loves them. Not sure pattern theo . Mossberg with extra extra full chuck through the shot high. The Hatfield know I been runing winchesters regularl cheap Cooper plated or lead turkey #4 shot. Had some Remington heavy-shot #5 here also

Great video! What are your plans for spring turkey this season??? Code Black loves TSS #9 and your pattern will be way way better even at 40 yards and again at 20! I know it's expensive but no one complains about a good arrow build much and when you see the pattern it says it all! Even if you are aiming a little left and a bit high it will fill in much better. I did a basic pattern video not long ago say 2 seasons ago and you can see what I mean. Again great video as always!

Don’t have plans yet, trying to figure out a place for me and my son. We haven’t been able to get our hands on the TSS but I’ll keep looking for it. We’ve tried a few different loads now, the long beard works great, the others we tried didn’t work out so well.

Not sure if you will even see this comment but you really need to use AT LEAST a 2'x2' target (I use a 3'x3') if you were to do this you are able to find out a couple of things. First and foremost you will see your entire pattern and be able to find your core. Next is , you will be able to compare you POI compared to your POA. You will see a dramatic difference if you try this. Hope to see it soon, and good luck!

We typically use a 30" x 30" paper backer so we can see the entire pattern. I'll be showing more of the larger backboards in the next few videos we have scheduled to shoot.

Those shoot n see targets are not very good for testing shotgun patterns in my opinion, they are not big enough. You missed high and high left on half of your shots so we cannot see the entire pattern. I recommend going to walmart and buying some 28"x28" poster board paper. They are around 60 cents each. Then regardless where your point of impact is we can see the entire pattern. Just a thought...

Ya I’m going to blow off the rest just for fun but I won’t be buying them again. I ran a few more tests after this video and I’m not impressed at all.

I don’t think they are that bad. I bought a box of Nitro turkey and had 60 pellets in the head at 30 yards and 20 at 40 yards. I think it just depends on the choke you are using.

I really miss your older build and reloading vids. We need to start using other services or we’re at the mercy of BigTech. Please consider posting vids on Lbry.tv (partnered with Odysee.com). It’s a block chain based system and you earn credits for followers, likes, posting, invitees, etc. I’ve used it for a few weeks (@TXFederalist), the interface is intuitive and seems reliable. Try it out with some of your older reloading vids. @timcast @CandRsenal and @blokeontherange are there too.
