Even in an alternate history timeline reality where Napoleon Won, pushed Britain out of England, only for them to lockdown the 13 colonies and invent mechs to become the Britannian Empire... You can't out pizza the hut
Not quite. Pizza Hut was a sponsor, but they only paid for their logo and products to show up a couple times. However, the animators started throwing them in anywhere they could as a joke. The animators were having fun, it was a neat running joke for the fans, and Pizza Hut got more advertising than they paid for. It was a win-win-win. After that, Pizza Hut became SIGNIFICANTLY more involved in sponsoring anime. Red Bard has a great video on this, which is where I got most of my info.
@@wavewingman5993I knew Pizza Hut sponsored/collabed with a lot of anime-related stuff, but I didn’t know Code Geass was the reason for it. (Though I also didn’t know Pizza Hut was even in Code Geass lol, which is my way of saying I haven’t watched it yet)
@@Gamesmarts194 They did like, one or two small sponsorships before that, but no outright product placement. I believe Code Geass was the first time they had their logo featured, and thanks to the animators putting it everywhere, it dramatically increased Pizza Hutt sales in Japan, and they started doing it MUCH more frequently, including doing themed promotions within their stores.
Well in Japan Pizza Hut sponsored Code Geass but in US release (with English dub) they didn't sponsor the show thinking it won't do well so they removed the logos, is what I heard.
So this is where the Pizza Hut joke comes from! But wait, what? I never saw those before? Did I just miss them or did they remove them? Dammit, why'd they remove them? Also I feel so dumb I only just now made the connection as to where C.C. got her stuffed anime from, it was a reward she bought using all the points she racked up ordering so many pizzas! Wait, is Cheese-kun an actual Pizza Hut mascot in Japan? Never heard of it in the U.S. so I guess it must be. Unless it was just made up for the show? These writers have good taste though, Pizza Hut is best pizza chain lol.
Every appearance of Pizza Hut product placement was removed in the Netflix version (assuming that's where you watched the show.) Originally, everything you see here in this video is real, and it always has been.
@@sonogamirinne7172 ? I was simply stating that the English version of the show is better, which it really kinda is based on the level of emotion, how recognizable the characters are, the overall quality of the dub, and Hell, even the British setting. You wouldn't listen to Demon Slayer in English, you wouldn't listen to Code Geass in Japanese. It's simply a differential. Idk what to tell you, the English version is better; and if you still don't believe me: Lloyd
@@minimalgrammar1276 I like 2 version no need to lower other and praise other like some kind of superior complex usually do like the one like your comments , besides watching which language it their's own choice , you act like people not allow to watch sub/dub on some anime
@@sonogamirinne7172 You can do whatever you like mate, I'm not your dad. All I'm saying is that the English version of Code Geass does things that the Japanese version doesn't. Lloyd Asplund is an amazing character and the Japanese version doesn't do him justice, Idk what to tell you.
@@minimalgrammar1276 you still try to tell people what to do instead of leave them like the thing they want , toxic attitude like this is why some people hate anime
