I like how out of all the people he killed in this scene, he still spared Gino and told him to join them because he still considers him a friend. This in itself should have shown/hinted Gino that Suzaku wasn't really trying to be the enemy of the world alongside Lelouch but rather that they were concocting a grand scheme and could have used his skills.
The fact Suzuku spared Gino, but wiped out everyone else really proves, Suzuku did not like any of his Knight of the Round Colleagues. He wiped him out like they were nothing.
@@alexandrostheodorou8387 To be fair, besides Gino and Anya, the rest of the Knights Of Rounds were all assholes who treated "The Numbers" like they were inferior beings. Their talents as pilots and as Britannians gave them the notion that everyone else who wasn't one of them or part of the Royal Family was inferior to them. Like the Vampire of Brittania underestimated Kallen so he lost his life, while as Gino acknowledged that she was more than strong enough to be a Knight of Rounds.
@@Phantom-ZER0 What where did you get that from? The only KoR that seem to be antagonist to Suzaku is Luciano, everyone else treated him like they are just colleague except Gino and Anya that befriended him. In fact we saw it that Bismarck isn't prejudice at all and is the first one to support Suzaku (because Charles said so but still) then there is Monica that show in manga to also not be prejudice too. Only Dorothea that we know absolutely nothing about her.
@@chayutpanvilai2157 I was speaking about the Knights of Round who actually got screen time, the majority of them got less than 3 minutes of screen time. And Yeah the Knight of 1 didn't look down on him, but that was mainly due to his devotion to Charles who acknowledged him as well as his devotion to Marianne. However as shown here, he greatly underestimated him and his resolve. In their previous fight with swords, he told him that his kindness was his strength and he recognized his potential but told him that he discarded the things that make him strong.
@@Phantom-ZER0 I means if you only spoke about KoR who got screentime then there is only Bismarck, Gino, Anya and Luciano. Three of them aren't disciminate against him or any numbers, only Luciano antogonize Suzaku but that's cuz the guy is an asshole. In that scene he kill 3 of the rounds which Bismarck is show explicitly to not be prejudice, Monica is unknown if you use anime only to judge but if we included manga too then she too isn't prejudice and only Dorothea is unknown regarding this. So your claimed of that KoR are asshole who discriminate against Suzaku or numbers thus it is easy for Suzaku to justify in killing them is in fact, wrong.
It took me years to finally understand how Suzaku beat Bismark. To beat someone who has the ability to predict the future, you have to be faster than the time it takes between your opponent having the prediction, analyzing the info of the prediction, deciding on a course of action and then acting on the decision the opponent makes. Suzaku, instead of using tactics to outsmart Bismark just brute forced his way through him with the Albion's superior speed.
Not only that, but an opponent who can see the future, sees the lines you travel. Going straight at them makes the prediction a lot tighter in how you'll attack them. You have to be really on your toes or absolutely concentrated on them, but Suzaku's Geass lets him 'boost' further.
It is surprisingly straight forward "You may know what the other person will do, that does not mean you can counter it" Suzaku as you said simply overwhelmed Bismark, he SAW what Suzaku was going to do, he simply had no way of protecting himself.
There's also the advantage of the Energy Wing System which according to lore has the ability to form afterimages to confuse enemies and its said that he used that against Bismarck.
My head canon is just that Knight of One's Geass just predicts what the opponents is thinking of doing, rather than straight up predicting the future. (Similar to Rolo, he doesn't actually stop time, only stop the perception of time) Suzaku was purposely running head first into Bismarck's attack, fully intent on dying. But this in turn activates Zero's command to "live", which forces him to dodge death no matter the cost, and makes him act unpredictably.
True, but the Knights of the Round had their machines built off of the data that Suzaku accumulated from the moment he began piloting Lancelot. It's no wonder why their machines were so strong when you factor that in.
Kallen only won against Suzaku because from the very start Suzaku was not really aiming for him to win that fight he is aiming to be defeated and thought to be killed because otherwise the Zero Requiem plan would be a failure since Suzaku won't be able to pose as Zero...
According to them, the Guren is higher-specs, as Kallen notes, and Suzaku has his Geass as Suzaku notes. Now watching Suzaku it doesn't seem to make him super-human, it just let's him work at 100% constantly. So from a Machine point of view Kallen had the complete advantage.
From episode 21 and until the mid point of episode 25 I was enjoying this with all my soul. Still to this day, 10 years later I still have a damn smile in my face when I see the episodes of pure domination by Lulu!
Wouldn't matter anyways cause lelouch would more than likely trigger the curse he put on to suzaku to live and would obliterate Bismarck now it might be a different case if Thier knightmare frames difference in power were even maybe Bismarck wouldn't get blitzed by the Albion Lancelot.
Well, Bismarck didn't tell anything to Suzaku. It's obvious because Suzaku didn't recognize his words, so is more probably than Bismarck was thinking out loud (like all animes do)
You know they did Monica fucking dirty in this show. Introduced as a Knight of the round, elite nook, compassionate unlike your average britannian Soldier.... Then they have the nerve to give her this incredible back story, have her main a very unique KMF, we find out that she was a illegitimate child of Charles MAKING HER ANOTHER heir to the throne, all character building shit making her a well rounded character. Fucking thrown away in this one battle scene to prove sakazus power. Disgusting.
"Oh cool, the knights of the round. I bet this gonna be both epic and a very long, hard battle full of struggle and-" It was epic allright, but damn. Suzaku pwned.
How to win every war. 1.Install bomb inside Suzake 2. If he loses he dies 3. Put him in charge of everything This is how lelouch lost to Suzaku in chess
This is the most badass Suzaku moment in CG. They send a fucking army + 3 Knight of rounds and the knight of one, the most powerful knight in Britannian, with a geass that can see the future. Suzaku alone, destroy the army, one shot the 3 KoR and defeat the knight of one.
Thank you for the upload this part of episode. I love the hype of the scene that starts with the music and always watch this part every couple of months.
> only advantage is Future Sight and battle experience > decides to go for one hit finisher against a Knightmare Frame that’s higher spec than his 200 IQ move from Bismarck
Still the best mech, grand strategy, action (and also drama) anime for me after all these years, still my top 1. I don' think anyone can make something that would come close to Code Geass.
At least we can know that Marianne is a very skilled pilot. Otherwise Bismark wouldn't say that she was the only one he would use the Geass against her.
What's funniest about Code Geass is that in R2 they completely expect the audience to forget about the destruction of the greater part of the Tokyo settlement in season 1. Lelouch massacred THOUSANDS of civilians while laughing about it! In my head canon, that was the lesser Knights' motivation for trying to take down Lelouch. It wasn't a one-dimensional sense of "loyalty" so Lelouch could continue to be over glorified, but a three-dimensional moral duty to ensure that psychopath didn't make the country worse than it already was. And about this scene: I've seen evidence that confirms that Monica was canonically unprejudiced even before Oz was written. Not to mention Dorothea is just a character swap of Nonette who was killed in the manga. Nonette Enneagram: The original fan favorite Knight of the Round who is also unprejudiced and has a likable and carefree personality. To make matters even worse, Taniguchi had Gino diss his dead friends with a casually smug sip of his drink in "Re;surrection" right in front of Nonette. Taniguchi truly had no respect for his most hardcore fans and was more concerned with making as much money as possible with his Husbando bait. Thank goodness he's out of the primary production for any new Code Geass content. Lelouch is the manifestation of his ineptitude as a writer and his narcissism against valid criticism. It's little wonder no extra content was translated after the R1 novels. The expanded content doesn't so much as make the story morally gray as it does prove the main characters wrong. Plus I've heard most of it was just really, really bad so it didn't sell at all (much like Genesic Recode now--go figure!). And I honestly don't care if Dorothea turns out to be racist in "Lost Stories" and anything else she might be in. Her fantastic design alone and awesome custom KMF, the Palomides, automatically makes her more interesting than any of the main characters. Getting over her racism would be a great character arc--unlike Kallen. (Lloyd and Cecile, for as likable as they were, still couldn't be bothered to be fleshed out lest Lelouch have less screen time.) I'll be rooting for her like Lelouch's fans were always rooting for him--for her looks. I just hope she isn't self-righteously angsty.
@@ultimateyagerman Long story short, Code Geass is Japanese nationalistic propaganda that was written by people who don't understand racism because their government pretends they never were racist or fascist. Kallen is actually the manifestation of that, joyfully slaughtering any and all Britannians and declaring herself a pure Japanese at heart when her accepting her mixed blood and learning to fight honorably actually would have added some depth to her insufferable character. But nope, Marika has to deal with PTSD for the rest of her life thanks to the writers' "Asia for Asians!" mentality and complete lack of care for a cohesive plot or likable characters.
@@ultimateyagerman And Suzaku still needs to pay for siding with Lelouch and helping him kill millions upon millions for his "permeant peace." War crimes are righteous when they're for the good of the Japanese Homeland, apparently! And Jerimiah. He only survived because he became a meme.
Suzaku was definitely nerfed in the final battle against Schneizel and the Battle Knights. There was no reason he should struggle with Xingke. Even Kallen's Gurren shouldn't be able to match his machine which effortlessly defeated the Knight of Rounds and Knight of One himself.
Basically if we're comparing both gurren and Lancelot gurren was more powerful cause not only did gurren recieved upgrades from rakshasha who's intellect rival that of Lloyd and Lloyd had tampered with the gurren when they caught kallen..... While the Lancelot was only ever received upgrades from Lloyd and his assistant so I would say the gurren got upgrades from two geniuses while Lancelot only got 1 however suzaku's skill made it pretty even.
Nah Bismarcks unit is just that slow compared to Albion Lancelot the Lancelot was a newer model and was probably like a prototype for mass production if successful and be distributed to the knights of rounds.....
is there different versions of the anime? I remember watching this part a few years back. recently I've watched the anime again but this part wasn't in it suzaku beat the knight one after talking to charles in some island or something
The Knights were in the right. And it gets a whole lot worse when you know that Monica was canonically unprejudiced even before "Oz the Reflection" was published and Dorothea is basically just a censor bar to hide the fact that then- fan favorite Nonette was carelessly slaughtered in the manga. Taniguchi knew his audience was stupid enough to forget all of Lelouch's war crimes that he reveled in because of their crush on him. Undoubtedly the lesser KotR's motivations were much more three-dimensional than "loyalty" to Charles. It makes about as much sense as Jerimiah suddenly defecting. Imagine if that war criminal goon found out what Le Douche did to Marianne. Le Douche deserved his death long before the end of the series. Sweet Lord, the Code Geass fandom is stupid.
Hhmmm.. its like his forsight work only a seconds ahead.. if its albion fast performance and suzaku pilot skill move faster than normal...its show less prediction.. so knight of one geass rendered useless against someone who can move faster gradually.. i guess
Why do they need mecha for air combat? I would think if the vehicle was designed like maybe a bird or an insect it would be more efficient at aerial combat than a humanoid form with wings.
The Knightmare frame is related to the mobile suit by the studio that made them. So the Knightmare is the other dimensional version of the mobile suit.
Lancelot Albion is one of the two Knightmare Frame of 8th Generation, even if they know how to dodge thay can’t their Knightmare Frames are not enougth fast to do it.
TheBigExclusive He strikes the enemy straight. And that makes the enemy unable to see the future clearly( because the vision and the reality overlaps) Yeaaaahhh and his sword skills I guess Sorry for bad English I’m japanese
Well, he did force himself into a suicide attack, so I'm guessing the "survive" order over him activated some ultra instinct stuff, allowing him to dodge the blade at the last milisecond, not allowing Birsmark to foresee it.
This is an edited clip. Essentially Suzaku uses his geass curse to live to trump Bismarck's geass of seeing the future by doing a suicidal head on attack which makes Suzaku's geass kick in causing Bismarck to become confused. As a result Suzaku slaughtered that filthy Xeno.
Josh Marvel suzaku more or less tries to die( throwing himself at the opponents blade). This causes lelouch geass comand to activate, with this he goes super to kill bismark to follow the live comand.
Josh Marvel The geass comands overrides action and acts instictivly( 100% to fufil its purpose ). By him doing so it was not his thougths slicing him but instead the geass redirecting the attack to live( faster than bismark can react). This theory is a hell of a lot better than the "Lelouch lives theory"
Not really since Suzaku is using the latest 9th generation knightmare frame AKA Lancelot Albion. Since its not a mass produce knightmare frame it is probably adjusted according to Suzaku's pilot ability too. You can see the performance of it when the knight of rounds unable to track it since it moves too fast. For the geass part I don't know.
I think the fact that he solo’d the Knights of the Round, including Bismarck and Gino, is BS. Superior frame or not, it just wasn’t a good power balancing moment in the series. I mean Suzaku was held off by the Black Knights but the supposed mightiest knights of the empire fell in 2 minutes? Riiight. Does that mean Kallen can also solo the Knights of the Round with guren seiten? Honestly, if code geass had 30 more episodes, it could have fleshed out better. At the very least, Suzaku should have had Orange or soldiers backing him up. Orange in Siegfried was capable of defeating Anya.
