The saddest part is Odd staring at Aelita and crying himself. He’s usually the one who’s the funniest and happiest and goofiest, but this is the first time we’ve really seen him like this. Really shows you the amount of emotion in that moment.

Goodbye XANA, you were one of the best villains on a television show

When Odd cries, you know something really sad happened.

SERIOUSLY?! Throughout the entire series we only got to see William as a good guy in Lyoko for less than half an episode?!

Shame William had to be used by XAXA one last time instead of dishing out payback like he wanted.

When Odd cried I nearly died inside

It's so sad, Franz Hopper dies inside the Super Computer. He had no identity in real life, and no one knows if he existed and boom, he's gone. It's a tragic death, no grave, nothing.

"And you're ready to die of exhaustion for that?" "If thats what it takes, I am. :)" Yo, Jeremy and this dedication. I'm telling you all right now. Jeremy is the real hero. If *anyone else* found that supercomputer, things certainly wouldn't be this good for the world.

I only have two major complaints with this episode 1. William didn't get to go to Lyoko for the final battle 2. Franz died

Seeing Aelita cry like that hits me right in the feels and it's super effective

The saddest part is that Aelita and her father never even got to reunite with each other.

If I was Yumi, I'd go sit with William after saying the whole "he isn't our enemy anymore" speech. Gotta love the music they play in cartoons. That is, when the characters are listen to music.

This show deserves an Oscar. I'm honestly debating on whether I should watch the last episode cause this one is too much I cry I cry

Okay... What was the point in trying so hard to bring William back if you were just going to treat him terribly upon return?

Considering this would be their last mission, wouldn't they've recognized that they'd need every bit of help they could get and let William join? He could've easily provided cover for Aelita with Odd. The plot could be kept intact if XANA instead brought back the William Clone rather than retaking the real one when he JUST GOT BACK.

Ok, this episode to me is the most intense out of the whole series. Without Franz they couldn't do without him in order to destroy X.A.N.A for good - although he turned out to be alive unfortunately for them to be having to fight again, but at least something better than evolution will come up later, Project Eradication. What I see in the scene when Odd and Aelita travelled to Sector 5 is Odd was trying so hard to eliminate all monsters in order for Franz Hopper to be alive, and that would be why he cried but in another case he really looks up to her as much as Jeremy. He would feel he should've done better, but he did his very best. I am glad Aelita have her four buddies by her side if she need them as they are the only ones she has at that stage. I was 7 when I watched the final episode, and watching it again so many times got me understanding the story more as I am order, now being 18 years old I am looking forward to the future of more animated Code Lyoko episodes. RIP Franz Hopper

Still a little bummed that William didn't get his revenge. I always wished it was him who took down the Kolossus, sort of as one last hoorah! Almost like a statement that he was free of XANA's control once and for all. Instead, the show leaves his story on sort of a weird note. Just when he was starting to become a better person and gain the trust of the Warriors again, he's forced to attack them. Something about that frustrates me.

For the longest time, this show was nothing more than a speck of memory floating around in my brain. On the most random day I could’ve imagined, I finally managed to piece together a name to search for it on RU-vid. Here I am revisiting my childhood after almost a full decade! The nostalgia is real. God bless this show and all the fond memories it gave me.

For those disappointed by how rush this ending was (I consider 95 to be an epilogue), the reason is because the budget was pretty nonexistent around this point. From what I heard, the creators had other plans for more episodes, more seasons, but I guess they were so caught with story making, they didn’t pay much attention to the money they had to spend on the show

i will forever be bitter about william’s treatment. he was a real actual part of the group, and should’ve not only gone to lyoko in this episode, but had more time to set him up as a good guy, ideally joining by The Secret to have some episodes to show how valuable he can be. he wasnt even included in the final “goodbye” message, and i find that total bullskid.

I never got why William did go with them when this was such an important mission and they'd need any help they could get. It'd be better if Jeremy's William Clone was reactivated by XANA instead, mostly for an ironic twist.

This show was ahead of it's time. Years later no one can create such an amazing cartoon with such a unique and intriguing storyline. Although the ending for franz hopper broke us all, I do believe it's how it should be. It would've been very unrealistic for him to be saved and materialized after everything he's been through and how much he sacrificed not only to save the world from xana, but most importantly, to save his daughter aelita 😭😭😭😭

When xana took control of William here I'm surprised he didn't try to get him on lyoko to fully control him again

And so as the original saga ends, it sets up two of Evolution's biggest complaints about the characters. 1. Sissi being blond. Odd suggests it here. 2. Aelita turning into an emo who is quick to anger, jealous, and over reacts to anything threatening her status quo in real life. Because she watched her father being murdered and couldn't do anything to stop it. Though it needs to be said, this was a great ending by writing standards. The heroes won, but it was through someone who actually was capable of winning sacrificing themselves. So it isn't just the kids win because they believe in themselves, but they do it through realistic (at least in the show's reality) means.

Code Lyoko is by far one of the most BEST shows ever created! Its so underrated and it deserves a rebirth or remake. William definitely could have been used for a better plot ending instead of being used by xana once AGAIN…but bc the creators were on a budget and running out of time they had to cut the show short. You can tell by this episode it was kinda rushed im sure if they had extra time and funding we definitely would have been able to see more! Still a great heartbreaking episode tho! I miss this show i first watched it when i was kid after getting off the school after elementary school and im 23 now! I still have hopes that this unique show will have a comeback at some point in the future 🫶🏻😤🙏

OK SO THEY ARE TREATING WILLIAM LIKE HES THE BAD GUY BUT HES BASICALLY THE SAME AS AELITA. SHES BEEN POSSESED BY XANA MULTIPLE TIMES IN LYOKO AND IN THE REAL WORLD LIKE JESUS THEY LOST ALL OF THE LYOKO SECTORS BECAUSE OF HER AND WILLIAM CANT CONTROL IF HES POSSESED BY XANA OR NOT JFC

I think Yumi got what she deserved this episode. She was so mean to William, and she didn’t need to be. They treated him as if it was him that did all of those bad things when it was really Xana. Yumi was terrible to William and said he should stay behind, and because of that he got Xana-fied and kicked her butt. In the end she shot herself in the foot.

Ive been watching this song since i was kid now im 21 years old looking back at the show made me realize that this the best show and one of the underrated the suspense the darma the heartbreak everything blend together and thats what made this show amazing hell this show truly deserve Code Lyoko as a whole I damn near cried watching it again

I really feel like since this was one of the final episodes, they should have allowed William to go to the battle with them. I understand them having harsh feelings but it really does seem stupid to blame William for what happened when they’ve each done dumb things before as well before and after he got possessed. Literally in the episodes since William was possessed, Odd exposed the super computer to some random he knew for fifteen seconds, Aelita got kidnapped and possessed multiple times and one of those times was because she stupidly went to Lyoko alone, and Ulrich and Yumi do some dumb every other subplot. There’s a difference between not Trusting William because he did something of his own free will and not trusting him because of mistakes everyone made. For example, William was too cocky, Aelita and Jeremy didn’t bother explaining anything going on to him and just demanded he listen, Ulrich and Yumi got held up for the dumbest reasons when both of them knew their was an attack and time travel was an option especially back then. I love this show but sometimes I feel like it could be so much more. I’m disappointed cause i feel like it wasn’t explored particularly well how the others felt about Williams capture and release and how they dealt with their own personal part they all played in it. Honestly, there’s a ton of things in the show that exist and happen only because the plot forces the characters to hold the idiot ball and not because of particularly good writing. Like even with a lot of the fights on Lyoko, some episodes it seems like they are learning and getting better then other episodes you have someone (mostly Yumi) get instantly devirtualized just for the sake of drama. Like this episode, why weren’t the mantas a priority when Odd and Aelita went to sector 5 and why does neither Aelita or Yumi have any sense of aim? It’s just all kind of frustrating to me because there are actual ways of making their battles difficult and upping the stakes during Xana attacks.

"You're not like us...you're not strong enough..." Um I beg to differ. Aelita is a weak ass who has been caught more times than Odd has had girlfriends. And don't forget he massacred you guys on his debut to Lyoko. He was also the only person who was able to temporarily break free of Xana himself even though he was so infected a tower wasnt even needed to keep him xanafied. I don't like William either Yumi but strong isnt the word you're looking for. it's stupid like how you guys were for not bringing him. I know it would have been risky but would you rather he have gotten auto possessed?

I was struggling seeing Xana and Hopper dying and how unfair William has been treated but then after all this madness you make Odd cry you horrible monsters

I feel like XANA is a really creepy demon-like entity more than just a program. Like a projection of pure evil, never stopping from doing his thing. His death scene was really well executed.

they did william so dirty oh my god. I used to love this show but now that I'm older, the main group were freaking jackasses.

Am I the only one who thinks Franz's death was beyond cheap and pointless? No, really, he didn't have to die. Why didn't he hide out in a different sector, or even better the digital sea, to give Jeremy the power he needs to kill XANA? It's not like he hasn't done it before, he did give Jeremy the assets he needs to rebuild Lyoko from the net after all. And if you're going to say "to protect Aelita", keep in mind, he also took control of XANA's monsters before in the season 2 finale, he could've used them as bodyguards for her, so he really has no reason to die in front of her.

I am so sad this show ended I want another one!! Who wants new code lyoko! Something like XANA coming back. That would be so cool.

It's so heart-wrenching to see William not being able to try at least give a hand with the Warriors on Lyoko and seeing Aelita watch her father die in front of her eyes.

It sucks to be Aelita on this Episode! It's sad,it's tragic,and I wanna cry now. On a side note: why the fuck can't Aelita shoot accurately?

Code Lyoko's finale seems rushed, honestly. Previous episodes alluded to this huge, apocalyptic robot attack by XANA, yet it just kind of ends without any meaningful payoff. Also, there's a huge plot hole: Despite being controlled by XANA, William had been on Lyoko for months prior to being brought back. If Episode 31 is anything to go by, he should be resistant to becoming possessed on Earth; just like every other main character. In general, I really dislike how the gang kept treating William like a child. Yeah, he's overconfident & a tad selfish, but he does so much. The fact that he never got proper training on Lyoko combined with the gang's constant hesitation are my biggest issues with this show.

And thus this journey has come to an end. A war was fought and won by the best warriors anyone could think of. Code Lyoko ... Return to the past now

I’ve watched all the episodes the past few months I can’t believe I’m almost at the end of binge watching it.

This is a pretty great part of the finale, but it did William dirty HARD.
