Thank You so much for your video on this car!!! I have a 2016 Lexus ES 300h with 279k miles and is giving me codes P261B and P148F (Engine Coolant Pump "B" Control Malfunction & Engine Coolant Pump Over Revolution). I found this video searching for "Toyota Hybrid Water pump" and found that your engine compartment looks just like mine so I was excited to find it! I will be doing this replacement myself on Saturday and you've make it look so easy to do! I hope for the best! Also, can you explain what is the importance of putting it in maintenance mode? What does the car do in that mode regarding the pump? Just that just make the engine run continuously regardless of how full the hybrid battery is? THANKS ABUNCH!!
Hi. Putting car in maintenance mode will stop the system to go on hybrid mode. Engine will keep running and temperature will rise quickly and for other diagnostic purposes. For example mis fire.
@@autovisionservices I've successfully replace the pump yesterday following your steps! Thanks so much! My temps are ranging between 170°F to 202°F. Is that normal? Should I also replace the thermostat? Also, on the OBDLink LX Bluetooth adapter, before pump replacement it was showing a pump target speed of 2375 but was jumping around alot while engine was running. Target pump speed was lower at 1975. Now after the new install, my pump is reading 3188rpm while pump target speed is at 3275rpm. To get a good picture, look at my two latest videos I have posted on my RU-vid channel. There is a before and after video. Please, let me know what you think! Am I'm all good or is there still something else wrong here? Thanks again!! 🙏🙏🙏
Hi. It depends on you. If the coolant is discoloured and got bad smell. Better to drain it first and flush the lines before putting new water pump in. Thanks
It's good to see this video and thanks for your efforts! Dear sir , could you please tell me how can I release the buckle of high voltage wire at 3:38 in your video. Thanks in advance & glad to see your any advice!
