This is the part that breaks me every time, if you from the country, you have at least one of your best friends buried under a tree outside. I ain't lucky enough to keep those plots of land where my best buddies are at, but I can see the trees that they lay under in my mind every time I hear this line.
Being a construction worker myself, it's always been a bitter sweet job. I've helped develop a number of farm fields into many different projects. Homes, businesses, roads, etc. And it does hurt seeing beautiful farmland and country homes be removed, especially having family as farmers, yet I'm still proud making important progress for my community. Even right now im helping build a medical complex that'll make life saving medicine. And our world will continue to grow in population and all those future generations will needs homes and jobs and food and medicine and education. So yea this song hits home a number of ways
This definitely hits home for a lot of people I'm not very emotional with songs bit this one got to my heart big time!! Most beautiful song I've heard! Ever!!! Love the channel Birdman
Saw Cody Johnson before he got big at an old dance hall years ago and our county fair and he’s been by far my favorite singer ever since. This song hits harder each time I hear it. I jam it in my truck going through town just because I’m that proud to have grown up on our family farm that’s still standing , that’s got both of my dogs buried under our tree , where I swung from our oak tree. All of it , I feel this
Birdman.. I am not technology literate and social media ignorant I know you watched the video dirt cheap but he has come out with official video now you have to react to that.. thanks in advance
What part of Texas are you in? I live south of Houston and its the same way here. All the farmland is gone and being turned into subdivisions and solar fields. There's just no getting away from it now.
It's getting to expensive to keep ranching and farming. I know we are still holding on but don't know how much longer we can we haven't made a profit in 3 years just barely breaking even.
