I'm a huge Cody Johnson fan under the guise that he was a true singer songwriter telling his own stories. But to hear him say he wants to be 100% authentic and in the same sentence, you wouldn't believe he didn't write the songs that he bought... That's quite the mixed message. Listening to over 1000 songs to buy for your album didn't make sense to me until I heard you signed with Warner... It all made sense then. I hope they don't ruin you Cody.
other can write songs that relate to your own life and then he sings it his way, country. George Strait didn't write most of his songs but writers knew what he wanted and wrote for him. No one more country than George in his time.
He’s such a pure man. I love him to death! I’ve met him, and had a private concert and he’s the same in person... he’s so sweet and genuine... definitely better than luke combs.
saw him at the HLSR 2018 it was AWESOME and he was the only artist that used ever bit of that stage... cant wait to see you in Huntsville for my bday in November
