🙏🏽Thank you for this video Khadijah! I’ve been using your 2-step henna/indigo method on my bleached and super damaged (initially naturally brown) hair. I changed up the method after two rounds of henna/indigo only, by adding ground coffee to the dry henna mix and using warm boiled water. I did not wash my hair with shampoo for 48 hours and the resultant colour is a gorgeous coffee brown that does not fade after washing. I’ve done this method twice already and the shade of my hair colour is definitely better with the coffee versus the henna/indigo alone🙌🏽🫶🏽

I’m unsure how the coffee colour remains in the hair after washing? I have to thank you for the tip on aloe Vera powder, it was a game changer when I started mixing it with henna for my hair.

Hello! Coffee makes it more brown and a bit dry, cassia make it more coppery or strawberry blonde.

Hello. It won’t work as well as with indigo but you can try it out. It’ll just tone the red down a bit. We hope this helps!

Hello. You may use heated aloe vera juice instead of gel as the Aloe Vera gel form doesn’t work well for coloring. The indigo is very fussy and ideally Aloe Vera powder helps it perform best.

Have you found that cranberry/pomegranate juice, or hibiscus tea are necessary in addition to the coffee to achieve a deep burgundy look?

why never use cold liquid? does it kill the hair dye or only slow it... or is there another reason

Cold liquids slow down the dye release process significantly. This means you might not achieve the vibrant color that henna is known for if the dye doesn't release properly.

@@user-dz9lu7mc7q Henna does not increase grays. It’s possible that they are a part of your genetics if you have so many at a young age. Early graying can run in families and skip generations. So they’ll increase, or stay consistent whether you use henna or not. It’s really a matter of if you want to alter your color and how you choose to do so. The healthiest mindset would be to change your color because you want to, not because you feel you need to. Your normal is your normal. While it’s very human, understand that it’s not necessary to compare yourself with the rest of the world. Especially if it steals your joy and confidence.

Hello. Yes, for browner tones you may add coffee, black tea or our organic amla powder (indigo works best as is the strongest of these options). We hope this helps clarify!

@@user-dz9lu7mc7q you can try coffee but it’s not as strong as indigo will be at making it brown. Sometimes people also use walnut husk. Hope this helps some!
