This is by far the coolest coffee and tea bar I’ve seen in a home. You both made it your own to fit your style. My husband’s grandmothers tea cups and saucers were given to me after she passed away, there’s about ten sets she collected from her world travels in the 50s and 60s, and I was given a huge dinner set, silverware and beautiful platters also. My husband and I love coffee and tea and I would like to make up a section on our kitchen counter for a coffee and tea bar. We have big collection of Starbucks mugs from our travels too but I don’t want it to look like a Starbucks coffee shop! Lol. More like pretty and stylish. This inspires me very much! 😁
Beautiful set up, really really nice, enjoy folks, I’ll just have to keep my Linea Mini in my kitchen as I don’t have anywhere else for it. Once again, beautiful set up, also a lovely video. Kind regards from Scotland 🏴 Johnny
It's really nice but there is something missing in term of colour balance. Im not a designer but i kinda feel this kind of things. My thoughts are you're equipment is white as your wall. I'm thinking of a nice colourful painting 🎨 to put some contrast between the wall and equipment. The painting 🖌️ has to be rectangular (landscape not portrait) and slightly smaller than the cabinet . In term of colour you dont show your living room completely but you should have some brown to remind cabinet but with a different shade. The coffee machine looks awesome. I'm getting in coffee and im thinking to buy breville barista express. Btw as it was your previous machine do you know if the grinder can ground coarse enough for pour over ? Thanks for your answer and cheers from France
This is the first video I’ve seen from y’all so I was watching this and heard you mention taobao a couple times and I was like “huh, their delivery to the us is so expensive!!” and then I was confused that you didn’t speak mandarin but still went for taobao over other retailers and then you said you lived in HK and it all made sense… like taobao shipping to hk is nothing and if you lived in HK you’d learn canto over mandarin if you learned either and the trad characters used in canto aren’t often legible if you only learned the simplified characters used in mandarin, so communicating by text would suck. Anyway though, I love the coffee bar, the way it’s designed and organized is amazing and the Linea mini is a great machine! Have you guys experimented with wdt at all? I’ve found distribution makes a big flavor difference and wdt is by far the most consistent (and imo effective) distribution method with the most room for user error so it’s usually my go to suggestion! Also, spring loaded tampers like the norm core tamper help with level tamping and with tamp pressure consistency if that’s not something you were aware exists I suggest looking into it, both these suggestions will make your espresso even more consistent and enjoyable!
I love your video, btw may I know how much does it cost for the coffee machine, where did you bought it ?Would u mind to share the link? Much appreciated!
How much did the cabinet maker charge you guys for the custom piece? I checked out the page but it was all mandarin like you said haha. I'd love to order something similar! Lovely video.
Great setup, but your choice of grinder puzzles me? You should have bought an Italian professional grinder like a a Ceado, Eureka! Niche?? Hey, to each his own! Enjoy!
