I read verse 14 and wondered what that means! I haven't really heard that before. "13: In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, 14: who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory." The holy spirit is the gaurantee of our inheritance until we acquire full possession of it. Do you know more insight into this??
YES, I love that verse. The Holy Spirit lives in us because WE are now the temple of God, our bodies are His temple, not a physical place. And that can only happen because Jesus' death and resurrection for our sins makes our hearts a holy dwelling place. Him living in us is the evidence and guarantee that we are saved and the inheritance of the saints (mainly, Jesus!) is ours forever because of grace!
Enjoyed this Bible study. I think we beat ourselves up thinking God will never find us good enough to make it to heaven, but knowing we are saved by his grace and not works is so comforting and we can rest totally in him.
