This time I try myself at a coffee machine. The machine goes on and the coffee selection works but everytime I try to make a coffee the machine stops working and I get the 3 red errorlights.
This is our second K-Classic. We had our first one for many years, so when we had to replace it, we wanted nothing else but this exact ru-vid.comUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf model. We use it for about three people everyday in the morning. The taste and quick brew is one of the reasons we like it so much. There are so many choices of brands of coffee that we would grab what was on sale and test the different brands from there. I would definitely recommend trying different brands of coffee to find the ones you like the most because there are brands that quite frankly taste horrible.
Thanks for the video, this is the exact reason I always go on RU-vid when life gives me a technical problem! ;) In our case there was a hard bean that blocked the grinder, the motor could not turn it anymore. Luckily no burnt motor. Cleaned the grinder that it turned free and reassembled it. And now sipping a fresh brew, with much satisfaction!
Thanks for making this video. It was very helpful. When I took the bean tray off, I discovered the screw holding down the motor had never been installed. Consequently, the funnel for the grounds had snapped off the grinder housing. i'm ordering a new one but used some rubber bands in the meanwhile to hold it on. The funnel was clogged because it had been misaligned. I cleaned everything out, put a screw in to hold the motor in place and reattached the tray. She's working like a charm all thanks to you.
The Screw was installed by myself, originally there isn't any screw. I thought it's the reason for my issue. Finally I decide to leave the screw because it's much more stable.
It turns out the motor for the burr grinder is bad and I ordered a new one. The little funnel that the grounds go into from the grinder is broken also. I ordered a new one but cannot figure out how to install it. Help!
you are helping in a general way....BUT, show the TYPE screw driver that you use. Then reveal WHERE you ordered the motor from! (you don't even say how long it took to receive the motor. That's how to expertly help others.
Be aware that when you take the top off there are two plastic tabs in the front of the cover that fit into plastic loops of the front portion of the machine. You must push down where the cover meets the front, on the front section, to lower those loops thus freeing the tab and allowing the cover to slip off. If you don't do this and pull hard it will crack those loops. Not the end of the world but if you want to have those loops there so the tabs from the cover can snap into them follow my instructions.
Thanks for the video Nico! One question please. What can I do in order to make the the grounding smaller then the minimum by default? Because it's not that small. Thanks again.
You're welcome. You can open the grinder and turn it manually into a tighter position in order to minimise the space between the grinding stones. But be careful to not overtighten it because you can demage the grinder.
Thank you! This helped me a lot. I just took out every part, including the motor. There was a lot of coffee inside the machine, I cleaned all the parts and I put everything back, without replacing anything. It is working now. :) Question: where did you ordered the motor from? I searched for Philips parts but no success. Have a nice day!
You could have the same issue as my coffee maker have, it's only one specific winding of the motor that couse the error. I do not order from Phillips. It was a smal supplier. I searched for the motor itself instead of Phillips parts.
@@technico5880 Thanks for the video. Do you have part number for the motor and who was the small supplier? My coffee mashie is still working, but I can hear the motor dying. I would like to order the replacement part in advance. Thanks!

My grinder works when it has no beens in it and only brews water in at cop. But when it has beens again it stops. Would you say it is the motor that is the problem?
Σήμερα έβγαλε το σφάλμα με τις 3 λυχνίες, έβγαλα το καπάκι, αφαίρεσα το μύλο. Γύρισα τον άξονα του μοτέρ πολλές φορές και βγήκε αρκετή ποσότητα καφέ μέσα από το μύλο που όπως κατάλαβα είχε κολλήσει. Χτυπούσα το μύλο στο χέρι μου έως να βγει όλος ο χοντροαλεσμένος καφές που είχε σφηνωσει, γύριζα τον άξονα και χτυπούσα. Τα τοποθέτησα όλα και η μηχανή δούλεψε. Εχω τη μηχανή 2 χρόνια ακριβώς και σκέφτηκα ότι μια φορά το χρόνο να κάνω αυτό το καθαρισμό, ίσως προλάβω πιθανό κάψιμο του μοτέρ. Ξανά άναψαν οι λυχνίες, το άνοιξα ξανά, πάλι δούλεψε, άγνωστο τι θα κάνει στη συνέχεια, πιθανό πρόβλημα μοτέρ. Καμμια ιδέα;
Thank you dude ! You saved my life!! Btw, I already changed grinder and after few months I got same error.. I just ordered new grinder (original this time), hope it works for some time. As grinder + 2 extra parts is like 1/3 prize of the coffe machine... Did some1 face with same problem, that grinder worked just for few months ?? Edit; Is it possible that its coffee fault ? Or its just bad grinder ?
Do you know why the motor does that? I mean I checked mine and it looks good, carbon brusher are fine and the motor is easy to turn.. but I have the 3 red lights flashing every 2 to 3 days..
Thank you for this awesome video solved my problem for the movement only with the vacuum cleaner, hope to be only this. Can you tell us the grinder spare part number and the place you buy it from, just in case ?
Is there anyone who knows where the "'empty coffee ground container" light's sensor. My machine lights this error every time I powered it on so I can't use it. I think there must be a faulty sensor that detects that coffe ground continer is full. If anyone knows please let me know.
Hey, my coffee machine has the warning light continuously on. Nothing else happens, the tray is in the right position and is empty. The microswithc is working. Do you have any suggestion what can be the issue ? Thanks
same issue with me ...opened the tray and to my surprise, the screw along with the bass guide from the top cap fell into the grinder..it broke the whole ceramic grinder to pieces...But a new part is 10 times cheaper than a new machine :D
@@nijazhundur405 just search for 3rd party suppliers of phillips coffee machine parts, if you have the exact model you should be able to find the right part where you live.
Honestly I am not a coffee drinker😅 but it depends on the coffee you want to have. I would prefer a stronger and more tasteful coffee therefore you should grind it smaller. In my opinion 4 to 6 is the best. For espresso better 3 to 4.
That’s great that you fixed it, but you didn’t have to screw the coffee grinder to the body, it should freely move on it’s own place Someone had disassembled this machine before you
My machine turned on and then shuts off and it wouldn't turn on again. It happened to me before, and then within an hour I was able to turn it on. But not today. What's the issue could be?
Hi.
Nice one, man! I am using EP2220. Do you know why the pre-ground coffee doesn't brew? Just getting water all the time. Finished decal and cleaning. All else works except grounds. Appreciate your answer!
Try dispensing hot water first using the pre-ground without any pre-ground coffee twice. Then try to make a coffee with pre-ground. If it does not work, try calling the philips customer service for coffee machines. 😊
Hey, I have a problem with my coffee machine. The 3 errors message directly appear after I turn on the machine. Do you know how to fix this ? Thanks for your help, Raphaëlle
I am not 100% but I think I ordered at that shop: www.shop-wittlich.de/p/mahlwerkmotor-philips-saeco-996530000317-11000513-421944049151-230v

@@technico5880 looks like it works. Somehow my grinder was full of with stoned coffee deep inside. It was hard to clean them but I did it and now it works well for almost 2 weeks. Thank you for your help! I hope I will not need the engine but I noted it in case of I will need it. Thanks!
Changed this motor and the problem persists. Even the boiler is not heating up. When turning on, coffee machine almost immediately starts blinking those 3 LEDs.
@@rbfr1569 Yes, I found the solution. In my case both thermostats was not working. Heating element was not heating. I'm assuming that connector which goes after heating element broke and water damaged both thermostats. Changed thermostats and connector and coffee machine is working again.
@@xteam29 where is the thermostat located? I am having the same issue and it is not the grinder. It goes thru the 4 cycles then the 3 leds start to blink.
