Hi, Everyone! :) This video shows most common problems with coffee grinder motor and the parts around it. I hope this video be useful for all of you. You can find me in eBay: stores.ebay.com...
Sir, you just made me look like a hero to the wife. We have had an Odea Giro Plus for 10 years and the grinder just stopped working. I took it all apart watching your work, cleaned it up and put it back in and poof coffee every morning again for the wife. - Cheers.
Thank you so much Miroslav. I am able to replace the broken part of the grinder holder (described at 7:58) accord to your instructions. The Saeco Service Centre in Singapore quoted me a few hundred dollars to repair whereas the broken part cost less than US$10/=. Cost aside, it saved me from throwing away a good coffee machine. You are a true hero!
Thank you soo much, it turned out nothing really seemed to be broken but taking it apart like you showed cleaning it up and putting it back together made it work again ! So happy when I pressed the button and a perfect cup of coffee came out. We were about to buy a new machine... no need now. Thanks !
You are great. Thank you so much for the video. A small rock was mixed in with the beans. The rock jammed the grinding surfaces and sheared the plastic wheel that holds the grinding surfaces. After watching your video I knew what was wrong and was able to disassemble it easily. Thank you again so much.
I was playing with it for an hour and did not manage to find out how to place that plastic stuff on the grinder. I knew i have to take off the cogwheel but cound not find out how. Thank you so much, you are a blessing :) A piece was broken off the plastic part. And i have also found a lot of water scaling, insanr amount which was clogging it. Now its perfect again.
I know this is from 8 years ago now but it was extremely helpful. Thank you! My grinder motor was blown and I just want to note that the new 120V replacement motors are Black now not red. They are well marked for USA 120v so not to worry!
Thank you so much - both for this video, the video where you show the disassembly of the entire machine - as well as the eBay store where you sold me the spare part for the coffee grinder. You are the man who enabled me to fix my coffee machine. I saved a lot of money thanks to you, and most important: I didn't have to throw away my coffee machine just because a small part broke
I have an Saeco S-Class Incanto Classic sup021ynr... i have had it for years without trouble. Last month it started freezing up when i was in just the grinding mode.... before the water prewet stage. I took it into our "certified repair place and spent over $120 for them to clean/decalcify and adjust the grinder." It came back worse off and will not work..... same issues. After watching your video I had enough information to clean and adjust the grinder ..... i already knew how to do everything else. The S-Class Classic grinder is exactly the same as the one you demonstrated. You are a wonderful teacher, details are very well understood. You are also wonderful for having put this video on youtube. I was lucky enough to find the "Service Manual" for the Incanto and the Incanto S-Class over 200 pages about how to. The manual helps but not as well as your video. I used the manual to help me disassemble the top and front of the machine and your video to show how to disassemble the grinder, clean it and assemble it again. thank you so much for your help.... i wish i had seen it sooner because it would have saved me lots of money.
Thank you Miroslav , i repaired my grinder and i habve replaced the pump by the new one on my Saeco 8944/01 after 8 years and 10000 expresso’s. The quality of Saeco coffe machine are very good , much better than my previous magimix and jura models. Thank you for your help.
Thank you Miroslav! I recently bought a second hand Taleo Ring for the equivalent of 2 Euro (wow!), not knowing if it worked or not. It worked great, but had one failure after a week. I opened it, and the sensor on the motor had become unplugged, easy fix. I am very glad that you are documenting fixes to these machines, I have subscribed! If I need a part, I will turn to you first.
Got the parts today, replaced the motor and the feed chute as you mentioned and all back and better tasting espresso ever! Who knew all this time that chute/funnel part failed and there was 13 years of grinds packed in, and yep...in the motor. Thanks!
Aaaaahhhhhh! I'm so happy, I just fixed my Philips 3200 Espresso Machine with the help of this video!! We actually did have the upgraded/reinforced grounds chute and it was broken, so not sure how long it will last, but I'm excited to find out instead of buying a new machine! Thank you!!
Thank you so much for you video, we have a Saeco Talea Giro the descale and dredge drawer light were flashing alternatively red. Everything worked when you reset except for when you tried to grind the coffee. Watched your video cleaned all the parts, put it back together. Presto!!! All good, no parts needed just a good cleaning. You saved us for sure at least $200. Thanks you!!!!!!!
Many thanks for these instructions, the black grinder post had snapped inside and we were able to replace the part by following your video, our Saeco has been saved and so has our money 😀
Миро, ти си най-добрия, току що оправих машината си благодарение на твоя клип. Беше паднало парче пластмаса в кафето. Miroslav is my hero as well. You save my old but good Saeco, it makes really good coffee now. Excellent, keep doing those awesome videos.
In my SAECO Idea Giro Plus grinder stopped working. I got to the motor thanks to Miroslav's instructions. Inspected it carefully and noticed that the end of the spring conductor between contact and brush was broken off on the contact side, enough to not make contact but to look as if nothing was wrong... Before replacing motor check those two spring conductors.
Thank you! I think at 7:50 or so you identified my exact problem. I broke the ceramic grind wheel, replaced, but the motor still whirring and no movement. Further disassembled and the shaft of that plastic piece is broken exactly as you show. I hope I can finally finish this repair.
Thank you so much, Miroslav!! When I came across your video, you described exactly what happened to my second hand Odea Giro Plus. I bought the motor, and outlet conveyor you mentioned, and I was able to make the repair myself with your helpful video. You described each step very well, and thank goodness I didn't have any issue with the transistor you mentioned at the end (but I'll keep that in mind for the future). Thanks again for a great video!!!
Мирослав,благодарности за видеото! Все още не съм разглобил машината си,но погледнах да видя дали има нещо,което да ми бъде в помощ. Още веднъж,благодаря!
Thanks! These are very informative videos. My odea GO started having problems with grinding the beans. Would abort and eject dry puck. Took it apart and it was exactly as you said. Broken plastic outlet tube. Got one. Cleaned the motor and fortunately was able to get all of the ground coffee out. Back together and works like new again. Thanks again!
Thanks so much! I had exact this problem. Now I have to find out where I can buy this part. The coffee machine was in the basement for more than 2 years, because I didn't feel like paying a lot for a machine that might break down again. I was very disappointed, but now I have faith that it can be fixed. That I can fix it. :-)
Thanks so much for this video! I just saved my Saeco Syntia, the grinder had been clogged up, i received no beans icon and the machine dumped the coffee.
Thank you so much for your videos ! You saved me 100+ $ ! Very informative and detail oriented ! I was able to fix it myself . I had it fixed before 3 times and I already spent 300 on it so I wasn't gonna take it in again . I figured if I can not fix it myself I will just trash it ! So you made me very very happy to be able to hide my espresso saeco odea machine again ! Thank you so much again !!
Not sure if my motor is burned or not. When you put an Ohm meter on the two terminals is it supposed to show a reading. Mine does not read anything. When measured between the motor body and each terminal there is no short as well. Thank you all for the support. Miro, you are the man. Great video
Great video, Thanks. Could you list the voltage on the white / black cables? Mine shows ~37v DC at all times and I'm worried replacing the motor will not fix the alternating descale / dreg icon problem. I'm trying to isolate the problem but no idea how to tell if the motor is really shot or not.
Починил? У меня в режиме ожидания на контакты моторчика приходит 50В. Пытаюсь стартануть из сервисного меню - не запускается. Подкидывал батарейку от шуруповёрта на 18В - от неё работает.
Todo muy bien explicado y buena image.Ha sido de ayuda, lo he arreglado! Gracias. La maldita pieza (rampa) se rompe cada año del lado izquierdo! Todo estaba llena de café en el interior ... Ahora molienda se thick.Graduating molino, hay algo de truco para esto no sucede cada vez que limpie el molino? Gracias de nuevo.
Hey man, thank you for these informative videos, you truly are a legend, but I must ask for advice with SaecoLirika, I have a problem with Error code 1, and I know all of the minor fixes to it, for instance, rotating the grindscrew, cleaning the funnel, Yet non of them worked longer than 1 coffee cup... So then I decided to completeyl dissasemble the grinder and clean out all the coffe that was stuck there, yet after that, It still proceeds with error code 1 after a few coffe cups, I am starting to lose hope for my machine
Hi, I used this video to fix the grinder problems a few years ago. So thanks for the help! I have now an issue with water that is leaking from the water thank side. Any tips ? And is there a way to change the tubes ? My machine is 12 years old and I'm afraid that there are fungi in the tubes. I clean it with the usual tablets etc... but want to change them to be sure. Tx for the help!
Hello good man. Very good video and very useful. But the problem I have isn't between the one you mentioned. Maybe you can help me. I have a Saeco Minuto. Not very new... The motor is just like you have. Plastics from around the motor is a little bit different. The motor starts and stops every half of second. Even when the machine is turned off. Only plugging it to socket and it starts the grinding to start and stop every half a second. I removed the grinding motor and checking with a multimeter it shows that even with the machine off, only plugging in, I have 102-103 V power to the motor. And I am from Europe, my coffee machine works on ~220V. Any idea on what could be the problem...?
Hello and thank you for this great video! I have a senseo sarista who is actually the model before the saeco. she just let go .... she takes the grains but it looks like the grinder does not turn ... So I disassembled everything and cleaned. So I changed the gear and today the sensor but the concern is always the same ... do you think it is the engine? my machine to 5 years only ... thank you!
Your video is amazing I have the same machine you're working on. Thank you so much, only problem I'm having is installing front control panel ,doesn't want to line up to the screw holes why? Obviously I'm doing something wrong? Help..

Thank you very much for the video bit I have another issue with the motor. My motor does not stop or works almost all the time and stop in short time. But this working stage is not a full power turning just like a weaker turning. It if you run the grinder motor tongrind it starts turning harder and louder. When it supposed to stop after grinding it does not support. What isnthe element I need to change in electronic board? Do you have any idea?
Thank you for this helpfull video. My Saeco Odea regularly dumps the freshly ground coffee in the waste bin, going in error mode without pumping water/making coffee. By opening the machine I had exactly the problem as showed in your video, so I ordered the spare part and installed it. My question is: could this broken part explain the behaviour as described, or should I look further for another problem? Because the above did not happen with every cup of coffee I made, I am still not sure if the problem is solved.Thank you in advance!
After a tons of browsing and debugging finally I got the real solution to my similar problem with a Saeco Minuto HD8763 coffee machine: the root cause was a bad hall sensor and a weak magnet at the grinder toothwheel: i.fixya.net/uploads/images/replace-magnet-hoey1jvz3uhc2z5y4gktfnry-3-0_3.jpg (the left magnet which was removed from it's original place). The upper one was okay and down under there is the replacement magnet which I made from a piece of HDD neodymium magnet and glued to fix it. The original hall sensor was marked as "210k 3491" ("HAL506K" based on some other service manuals) and the new one was a cheap non-smd but same size, unipolar "TLE4905" type.
Thank you for this. My grinder works fine but the beans are not going down into automatically and it keeps thinking it is out of beans. So I have to use a knife or something to feed the beans down into the grinder for it to work. Can you help with this issue please?
one problem I'm having - I thought it was due to the rubber collar that fits around the coffee grounds chute from the grinder - is coffee grounds building up under the brew group. The chute collar appears loose. Any suggestions? Should it fit tightly? Might the ground coffee be blowing back up from the brew group? the machine works so well, I hate to replace it! Thanks Doug
If I wanted to replace just the grinder sensor, does it pull out of the black support piece? I see that they are sold separately so I’m assuming it can be removed and I don’t need to buy both?
Hi. I have a problem like yours. My grinder stops at 5 seconds (i think the normal it's 10 seconds). The result is a weak coffee (half of grains). Have you a solution? Thank you very much.
Thank you so much. I had hard time to take the grinder apart. Once I had it completely disassembled, I found a piece of wood in the grinder. This blocked it from turning. So after assembling everything, still her error code 1. Probably the engine is broken. To be continued.
Hi. Thank you for your video. I have a problem. My grinder turns about 5 seconds and then stops (the normal is 10 seconds). The result is a weak coffee. Anyone knows how to fix it? Thank you very much.
Good Day I have a question. I cleaned out my bean grinder all was good but now when I make an espresso. The espresso pucks come out they are no longer dry and hard. They are like mud and lots of water, what can be the problem?
When I press the espresso button, grinder doesn't start the process of grinding, and all the four lights start to flash. I tested the machine in test mode, everything works besides the grinder. I replaced and tested the grinder on other machine. It works. I have checked the wiring, there's no any voltage there, can you help me out what should I check further? Maybe i should check the connection on the electric board? Any suggestions? Thank you.
Miroslav, could you please make a video showing how to take apart a Saeco Odea Go Plus from the fully assembled state. I have a problem with a grinder but am afraid to break the machine taking off the exterior panels. Thank you!
Thanks for your instructions. I like to take the grinder out of my Saeco Talea Giro. The grinder works ok but does not grind enough coffee so the red ! comes on.. I guess, over time, the oily beans cause this. Can you go a step back with your grinder removal instructions and show how to remove the plastic covers? I already removed the special screw in the middle of the coffee container but don't see any other way to remove the whole plastic coffee container with the front panel. It seems that it's all one piece. Thank you
Hi Miroslav, Thank you for these very informative videos. I watched your video and cleaned my grinder the way you showed. I made three cups of coffee to test my success. However when I turned on the coffee machine the next morning and pressed the button to make my morning coffee there was the same error code on display, wrench #1. Any idea what might be the problem? Because it worked beautifully after cleaning and putting it back together.
Great video thank you ! I have done all of this and put the machine back together. All appeared OK until I tried to make a coffee and I the error symbol of dregdrawer and descaling light clashing alternatively. I tried the troubleshooting for this form the manual but did not fix. Also the 3rd opti dose button lights up on its own. Any ideas of what I need to do please ???
Good day Miroslav. My Seaco Odéon Giro Plus has the top and bottom red flashing light simultaneity, on the display and nothing is working. At the same time, the middle green light bellow the button you press to get your coffee is on . Any idea what is the problem ? Thanks
Thank you, a very clear and useful video. I dismantled and reassembled the grinder following your instructions but I still get error code 1 on my Saeco Espresso Italiano (SUP035DR) which I believe means there's a grinder fault or the coffee chute is blocked (I cannot find the codes for this model). The coffee chute was broken, just as in your video, so I will replace it with one from Philips and see if it works after that.
