I remember having my first taste of Coffee when I was around six years old. My Granny gave it to me. All it took was that one taste of the sugar in it and I wanted more. My Mom found out and got very upset at my Granny for giving me Coffee at such a young age. But when I would visit my Granny I would still ask her for Coffee. She secretly let me have some even though my Mom told her not to. Lol. ☕
As an amateur tea enthusiast, there is so much complexity to tea (as there is with coffee) that its almost overwhelming. Loose-leaf is the only way to drink it for me now (unless I'm in a hurry or something). Also, green tea (i'm talking about the real thing with no flavors or sugar added, it doesn't come in a bottle, you have to brew it yourself) is said to be the healthiest beverage on the planet, full of antioxidants and other good stuff. If you've never had quality loose leaf tea, properly brewed, it will blow your mind how good it is, a bag of Lipton's isn't even on the same planet. Black teas, earl greys, green teas, white teas, oolongs, all very different and unique flavors and styles, there's a lot there. Also, coffee definitely has way more caffeine than tea, like 3-10x more
I drink espresso every morning, it’s one of my favorite beverages. I’m currently making sleepy time tea. I forget about tea so thanks for reminding me.
GREAT BRITAIN RUNS ON TEA! We may be broken but a cuppa tea always makes things better. “I’ll put the kettle on” is the phrase synonymous with any crisis large or small 🇬🇧 Sally, you fought bravely for us xx

When I think of Coffee drinkers I imagine exhausted people who need a cup of joe (good or bad) to be alive, while tea drinkers peacefully wait for their tea to brew properly. 🍵😊 TEA ALL DAY ERRDAY!
I started drinking coffee at like 11-12 years old but that was usually on weekends when dad gave me a little cup. Now I’ve been a barista for 7 years and drink espresso or a few cups of coffee everyday. I think a lot of it depends on family culture and when it’s normal to begin drinking it
The south…people drink coffee in the morning and then sweet tea for the rest of the day like people drink cokes. Tea is bigger than coffee around here. From Louisiana ❤️ love watching y’all, hilarious!
I wish you could do polls somewhere other than Twitter and give people more time to answer. I think the votes would look very different with extended time.
For the people saying tea is a grandma's drink, my great grandma drank coffee basically all day until dinner time. She only switched to decaf, and eventually tea (begrudgingly) due to doctor's orders. But that woman loved her coffee, with milk only! And my grandma (her daughter) used to drink coffee straight for the longest time, only now adding creamer to lighten the acidity. I found working at Panera bread that old men came in to order hot or iced teas! Cheers!
