Does Joe not realize that this so called "3rd tier" is the exact same as the second metric? Its literally just the points earned divided by total points available. So if you have more total points then you have the higher percentage. They are not 2 separate metrics.

I have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what the hell Joe was talking about when it comes to scoring 😂😂 this episode was insane from start to finish and I loved it!! But also if you’re keeping track of that much data you should also add a RU-vid poll so people can vote after they’ve heard your arguments so we can quantifiably know who had the best argument, not just the best food

Joe’s whole argument about the 3 tier requirement to win is entirely pointless - the second and third category are identical it’s just the total points divided by rounds. The only time that the total points could be incorporated would be if there is a draw at the end of the season!

The first 20 minutes of this is a pretty good microcosm of the whole show so far. It's Wins and Losses guys, the percentages don't matter. Joe is only arguing for them because they are currently in his favor. He definitely gets the gold in the mental gymnastics though. Oooooweee

Walt and Bry were on Comic Book Men, along with some movies. It has been my favorite podcast for years. I learned about it while listening to Sal and Q's podcast "what say you". The tie breaker should be a live debate where the audience and people online watching live can all vote AFTERWARDS in real time. This way you can sway the audience one way or another while they listen to the debate. You should post the poll after the debate, and start each week by checking the results of the previous poll or keep tracking the polls after the episodes. Otherwise the poll and the points that you’re tallying aren’t based on the merits of either person’s argument, so no one is winning and no one is losing. The foods win or lose based on their merits and who sees Sal’s tweets.

There should just be a guest record vs the taste buddies overall. So guests are 1 and 0 vs the buds. Whoever is the next guest will count towards that record.
