hey John! I am an aspiring UXUI designer and I have recently failed an interview. I thought my design was fantastic but this rejection got me to surf information to gather important understanding about UXUI. After couple of hours I have come across the term cognitive load. Therefore I would like to thank you for this simple and crisp video that got me to a better understanding on how to approach a digital design.
Hey John, thanks for explaining the difficult topic in such a simpler way. I have recently started looking UX article. Please suggest how to start with UX. Thanks
Hi Sahil! There's a ton of great channels from people who are more qualified than myself to talk about starting a career in UX. I'm just getting started myself! Check out Jesse Showalter ru-vid.com he has some great videos. Here's a great one from aj&smart as well! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dGEp5Bp-tE8.html
Interesting video! However i'm currently finding that when trying to reduce cognitive load it can some times be hard to find a balance when also trying to make the product or application accessible and inclusive
That’s interesting to think about and a good perspective to keep in mind. I typically think of “good UX” as the most universally accessible design. For relatable example, buildings with staircase entrances having to add entrances of ramps or elevators in order to be accessible for some user needs. So ramps should replace staircases, as staircases are ineffective for some users, where ramps are accessible for both stairs users and non-stair users. I could nerd out on intersections of UX/ UI & Disability Studies all day.
