Did he plant a Rear Echelon mine over your Teller? That was a sweet move tho. Thanks for the upload man, I always enjoy your content before my bedtime, much relax, such tightrope
The strafes were rough, like other guy said, you need to call it from the closest end of the map from the target and a little behind of the middle so all the shoots land. Amazing match anyways!
USF player was very good! His Sherman micro towards the end when he fought off your PIVs was impressive. I'm going to start placing beacons in my base on that map as a result of this. VGG
I would build a STUG instead of 3rd PzIV/Panther then stealth in some troops in the middle using the craters from all that artillery trading and did the "Weak Point into Faust" combo on Jackson. I know there is the >beacons problem and a good player has lighting reflexes tho...
That USF playstyle (Airborne protected Scott "blob") is so irritating and hard to deal with. You played very well Tightrope but unfortunately one has to play a lot better (not just better) then your opponent when facing this (op) USF strat. And even that is not enough sometimes
There were multiple times were he could dive into the scotts but I don't know why he opted for running through the enemy base. And a better handle of the anti tank strafe could be the win. (First time he called it from the other side and the second on top of the enemy tank instead of slightly behind it to cover the retreat)
@@ZxMoonLightxZ yeah that's true regarding the anti tank strafe. It's stressfull situation with little time to think and direkt the anti tank strafe but yeah technically it's exactly as you write. Regarding not diving Scotts one can only speculate but given my experience diving Scotts often goes wrong netting you an unfavorable trade. The opponent is set up for and prepared for a Scott dive but not as much for base dive (often all AT is close by the Scotts) so it's safer to attack away from Scotts and he got some good results on the base dives I think. Diving Scotts are just so dangerous. There's often 2-3 AT guns and 1-2 Jacksons plus potential mines and bazooka squads and Scotts still take 3 shots to kill nad good players will smoke just before potential third shot making you have to attack ground in an extremely stressfull and hectic dive. There's often 2 mg to protect from infantry to help with at guns too. Often most or all his army is close by in this Scott "blob" play styles but it still works so good due to Scotts long range and op damage/accuracy
@@vgmackan He got the strafe to cut off the only escape rout that Scott used three times and the light artillery + neweff (flare) could kill both at guns. After the second or third airstrike it was almost certain that no mine was planted there, just close to the base at the other side :P Again, this is just technical, tightrope was playing an insane match nevertheless.
This was a good game of back and forth. I know my opinion doesn't mean much, but the vision war was real here. Between the pio, JLI, pathfinder, and beacons; it could have gone wrong for either player at any time. Sorry you lost, but thanks for the great content!
Dont do it against brits as lack of grenadiers leave you vulnerable to bren carrier/assault section in the early game. Also to the mortar pit. Works great against soviets only if they dont get sniper. Or you get rekt hard. Usf is usually the good opponent as they have no direct answer for a good while. The Map plays bigger role in making this decision. You want to be able to cover most flanks with 2 mgs. The presence of sight blockers also work in favour of opponent. I have had good success with this build considering these parameters.
USF is so overpriced and underperforming in this game. I do play it the most because it is fun, but every time I go to Wehrmacht or OKW I'm always shocked by the amount of fuel and Manpower I'm floating even when I don't have a big map control advantage.
Nobody would ever understand the obsession of high tier players playing triple Panzer 4s instead of double Panthers or one Panther and one Tiger, if available. One thing that definitely is better about the Germans in the game, are the tanks. He was playing all game with worse tanks than the Jacksons deliberately. Despite the fact that you have already tried this for like 40 minutes and it didn't pay off in the end. Panzer 4 is fast but the Jackson is fast as well, has better armour and a better gun.
