This was a master class in scouting and capping, even though you set out to just explain scouts. Really loved it because it's so much about decision making on-the-fly and reacting to your recon. Of course would look forward to any other unit guides you put forth, but the same kind of treatment for the other factions scouting units, and the decision making that comes from recon, would be really interesting. I definitely struggle to capitalize on recon in the moment, so this was really awesome!
I'll put the other factions recon units on the future video creation list for sure! From a Kettenkrad to Dingo, they all serve different roles and can play a big part in decision making. It'll be fun to explore and share their approaches as well. Each faction has quite different decisions to make with CoH3s asymmetric design! Thanks for the great feedback. Love the videos mate!! SO SO good. Justa minor critique, the mic quality is a lot lower than we're used to, takes away a little from the overall video.
Thanks for the feedback Britalex! I've fixed up an issue with my mic (dust/cat fluff in the USB socket!) and learned some audio noise reduction techniques just in case, so future videos should be improved. Also I recorded some audio sections when I had really strained vocal cords (scouts vs paths/arty obs & the summary from memory), so I set a higher gain to compensate and it resulted in unwanted noises. Won't do that one again for sure! :) Is the volume balance between my voice and the in-game sound effects okay?

Unit Characteristics - Units have lower health points. - Scout range compared to regular infantry is 25 to 35. - They have free smoke grenades after upgrading. - Their occupation speed coefficient of 1.5 is among the highest. Strategy - Early on, roam the frontline to observe enemy movements. - In mid to late game, choose proficiency upgrades based on roaming for point capture and stealth observation. - Even during retreats, carefully observe for enemy positions along the path. - During encounters, don't make them the primary target, avoid fights. - Good combinations include smoke grenades with engineer flamethrowers for rapid occupation of cover and buildings. - Provide information coupled with indirect fire units (artillery emplacements, mortar teams). - In mid-game, invade the enemy's base area when the opportunity arises and use flares to understand their base layout. How to Choose Unit Skills - Depends on your commander's faction. - Pathfinders in Airborne Company or Rangers in Guerrilla Company have higher health upgrades. - Engaging in combat becomes possible. - Choose health regeneration over time. - When no unit upgrades are available, recommend stealth while stationary. - Use hiding spots on crucial pathways for observation.
