As much as I'm anticipating Ashes of Creation, there's no shot they do a single shard. Especially with how the game looks, there's no way the tech will ever be there to support dozens and hundreds of players on the same screen at once and be playable.

And that's because you have no clue about wich networking approach they took upon - it is possible if what they are claiming is true. Do some research on topics from their May Devlog

@sh1r057 Unfortunately you have no clue either if it will work or not. None of us will until we see it in action. Do no research and wait to see. No need to get all hostile when you have no knowledge of it either. 😂 At least their doubt makes sense, we have 0 reason to believe it will work. If it does, awesome. If it doesn't, no one will be surprised.

@@EXRDaBeasta But i do know that it is possible, i am a web engineer with a passion for developing games. I mean in theory it is possible and what they are claiming sounds like they overcame a huge obstacle with a modern approach, but once again multiple teams already tried what they "did". I am no hostile at all - i just said that someone claiming "there's no way the tech will ever be there to support dozens and hundreds of players on the same screen at once and be playable." is bullshit claim. By no means i dont have any doubts lol

@Lemacro1 No, it's a base game feature. Next to your inventory, there is a button called tools above the sort button. If you click that, it will give you the option to enable the ruler.

Cohh has said that he's been looking into various TTS options to get around text heavy games lacking full voice support, I wonder if using it for chat is part of the investigation into that tech.

I feel like that could lead to confusion. Cohh is interacting a lot with chat and people might mistake the TTS for himself which could be problematic.

You sound softer than the game sound Cohh. Personally I don't rly like the TTS Cohh, its very distracting on top of all the game sounds and your water reminder.

its so different from minecraft that I never really understood how much they were always compared. their only similarity is that are an action survival game that uses vaguely cube shaped blocks ?

Yeah there's a lot more of a point going on in terraria what with all the bosses and dungeons and just general quests. Minecraft even now is still very much a sandbox that has a few things that you can go see and do but aren't needed
