Yeah, they’ll probably have to change that. 😂 Maybe shift it a couple of weeks to a month after - when people’ll just finish the Elden Ring and would be hungry for more. Perhaps it could even play into their hand in the end.

Plot twist - the guy who determined the release dates for both Horizon games and their DLCs somehow snuck into the devs of this game and decided the release date for it.

I think the Dev's are going for "a rising tide lifts all boats" approach, hoping that the massive amount of interest in ER DLC will shine a light onto other similar games, as this 'looks' like it'd be a soulslike. Like how ~25 million people have finished or are getting towards the end of Palworld and now looking for similar games to play like enshrouded or Nightingale.

I remember watching a trailer for this a long time ago. Aesthetically speaking, this game looks great 👌 Not only Italian folklore but also far from the usual dark fantasy setting. Game has its unique look for sure! But, dear devs... YOU HAVE TO MOVE THE RELEASE. You will get obliterated by Elden Ring.

Its looks like lies of P and all those sort of souls games but in a more vibrant environment.. im 50 50 on it.. it could be extremely generic feeling or it could be alot of fun

The game looks really cool, I like it a lot. BUT if you are the developer of this game, PLEASE DO NOT release it on the same day Elden Ring DLC comes out, Either a month earlier or a month later. The entire gaming world will be watching or playing Elden Ring for at least 2-3 weeks.

"dead on arrivel" If they keep the date, it should be moved earlier by a few weeks so people will not compare it as much to Elden Ring or other Souls games, or moved after by 2-3 weeks from Elden Ring. I am sure a lot of people will understand why. This game looks cool and deserves its own time to shine, like Lies of P and Lords of the Fallen, to mention a few. Also, they will find it hard to sponsor big Souls/variety streams if they do not change the date, as people will only want to play Elden Ring after waiting for 2 years for the DLC. I wish the developers all the best.

It looks interesting and if it plays well, I'll probably get it but releasing on the same day as elden ring is just insanity. Even if Enotria somehow turned out to be the objectively better game (which it won't, even if it ends up being good), it would be DOA. Elden Ring has so much hype behind it that there is just no competing with that.

Pretty cool setting, first soulslike that isn't completely dark and gloomy. No clue if the game's gonna be good or different enough to not feel like a Dark Souls clone with a few small changes but let's hope it will. The release date is incredibly unfortunate though, should be pushed a month or 2 later.

that gameplay trailer looke more like "this is how we want it to play" and not "this is how it actually plays". Personally I am interested especially if they put out a demo, other wise will wait for reviews to make up my mind.

idk if a company sponsors someone to watch a trailer that has no gameplay, i will instantly lose all confidence in the product (warranted or not).

I think the main goal is gaining visibility. Pretty much nobody knows about this game for now. The devs need people to be at least AWARE. Worst thing that could happen is having a good game that nobody buys because nobody knows you exist 😅 Inviting Cohh to watch this trailer, even without gameplay, is a step in the right direction. As for the rest, we'll have to keep an eye out.

@@PLBiohazard sure but how about a gameplay trailer. i mean, i dont know how video game marketing works but you do a press kit send it out to outlets, if its interesting people will cover it and then it disseminates, no? having a tone setting trailer as a perception bench at this time is kinda weird.

@@LaymensLament Maybe they prefer to polish the gameplay before showing it in an in-depth trailer? Dunno, just an idea. Problem is: first impressions are critical. Once they show an in-depth gameplay, if it ever looks mid, then many potential players are immediately out and they won't come back. That might be why they prefer to show the art direction first (and gaining eyeballs) before showing a gameplay that must be as polished as possible. Just a theory though, I have no idea how this project will end up. Fingers crossed and good luck to the devs for these final months! 🤞

@@PLBiohazardi dont disagree with what youre saying, my initial comment was simply pointing out that if a company doesnt send out a gameplay trailer 3 months before release but pushes a mood trailer to a streamer as a perception test (more or less), i am skeptical. like now i expect the game to be bad. i also said its not necessarily fair but all being said, i dont think its a great sign of confidence.
