Newbie here...so happy to find a recent (and accomplished) hunter in my area. got my wish for a metal detector at Christmas,and an old stone well?/fire pit on an 1800's property...did not realize my machine could operate in the snow. Thank you

Cracking dig matey, your KG3 is a half penny, the first copper pennies struck were dated 1797....Allen.

Excellent hunt! Your research paid off. Sometimes a site & its history will make it sound so good but when you hunt it the opposite can happen. I think you may have found a virgin site this time. Well done!
