Whatever works I guess. I don't use Royal but I have to think there is a proper adjustment for that situation. Good channel, and I'm subscribed. If one day you want to replace that Coinco mech with a Mars or something else I guess you'll need to make a new wedge. Or make the proper adjustment for that machine.
Most of my coin mechs do not need the coin return switch to be depressed that much for them to operate, so honestly, the coin mech probably needs to be serviced to have that switch replaced. In place of that more costly repair, I decided that this is getting the job done for me. If the coin mech started having other issues, I would replace it and send it out for repair.
Great video. Question though, I have an older Vendo machine, the coin mech is pretty messed up. Is it fairly easy to upgrade to a different coin mech? Are they fairly universal? Thanks.
How old is your vendo? If it supports MDB, it will be easy to find a replacement. If it is older, you will need to make sure you get one with the correct connector and voltage. Check vending works for a compatable coin mech. vendingworks.com/
I kinda have a coin mech that is identical, but i have been having the promblem that its not giving the exact change back, for example lets say someone put a 5$ bill and gets something of $1.25 it wont give the exact change, any tips on how to fix it? Also i enjoy your videos they are very helpful, thank you!
You coin mech might require professional service. If I were you, I would swap out the coin mech with a known good one and see if that solves the problem. If it does, send out the bad coin mech to a company like Vendor's Exchange that services coin mechs.
I have a coin mech that when i turn the machine on the red light turns on then right back off and even full of nickles it wont accept change. Do you have any helpful tips??
Lift the gate up and try cleaning the coin sensors with a damp microfiber cloth. If that doesn't work, try switching out the coin mech with a known good one that you have. If the replacement works, you have a bad coin mech that will need to be sent out for service. Most people do not service their own coin mechs. Just remember to unplug your machine before disconnecting the coin mech or you can cause other problems.
I would swap out the coin mech for a known working one (of course unplug the machine first). If that fixes the problem, I would send out the coin mech for repair.
I just purchased a royal 660 but I’m having issues with the coin return every time I press the eject button for the change it makes the noise as if it were to return the change but it doesn’t. The amount deposited goes down until it hits $0.00 and doesn’t return.Any advice? Please help . Thank you!
Do the coin mech doesn't automatically give change after you make a purchase that is less than the amount deposited in the machine? I would try swapping out the coin mech with a known working one and see if that solves your problem. If it does, you should probably send the mech out for repair.
First make sure the meck is accurately giving change back go into the program and test the payout tubes. Push the mode button 1 time scroll up by #2 button until you see CPO then button #4 to test.
I have a similar machine. It used to give quarters back if you put a dollar in the acceptor and press the coin return. Now it only sends the dollar bill back out. Any idea how to fix that?
I am not exactly what machine I have but the return mechanism is virtually identical to the one in this vid. When Quarters are full in the dispenser it will auto return additional Quarters put in. They won't go into the coin box. I can put dimes or nickels in and it will accept them, but no quarters. Any idea whats wrong or how I can fix that?
Hello good morning, one of the snack machines has gone crazy, when they put money to buy, the machine gives the food and then returns the money. Can you help me
Look for bad florescent bulbs in the vicinity of the machine...either in one of the machines or in the room. Sometimes when bulbs try to light up, they cause electrical interference that makes control boards do wacky things.
My Dixie Narco 501E only shoots out a soda when we put quarters, when we insert a dollar bill the machine takes the bill but wont shoot out a soda. What can be going on here?
so it takes the dollar but does not dispense the soda? So it does not give any credit on the machine when the dollar is inserted? I would swap the dollar bill acceptor with a known working one and see if the machine works then.
Hello I just purchased a vending machine and it was registering coins and I don’t know what I did but now when I insert any coins does not go to the changer or the cash box. My coinco has 3 buttons but I have no idea what to do.
Check that the coin return switch is not at all depressed. Did you do anything to any of the inside components like trying to unplug them when the power was on?
@@MichaelMartinez-zl5zd You could have. You should never unplug things from the control board while the machine is plugged...that includes swapping a bill acceptor or coin mech. You need to trouble shoot before you go out buying any new parts. Is the display on the machine showing any errors? Does the coin mech have any coins in it? Will those three buttons on the coin mech eject coins that are in the coin mech? Will the machine take dollars and does it vend when taking dollars?
@@HappyVending I have change in the changer but when ever I insert a quarter it doesn’t show on the display that a quarter was registered it just stays in the coinco until I press return change button. Sorry if I’m very vague It’s my first one and have read up online and have no ideas how to trouble shoot a coinco
yooo this helped so much you should do older vending machine i have a photo about it when you put coins in they dont go down they just jam u should make a vid about thta
Glad I could help. Honestly, most coin mech issues I have other than basic cleaning of the coin path I send out for repair. There is not much in the coin mechs that you can fix yourself unless you have the test equipment to do so. This coin mech probably needs a new coin return switch, but this hack works well enough to get me by without having to send the unit out for a 70 dollar repair.
I actually tried that first, but the metal bottoms out on the coin mech frame. The only way to get it to go down far enough was to extend the switch like I did. By the way, it is still working fine.
Do you have a number I need some help plzz I just got my machine and bought a new bill and coin slot I don’t know what I did wrong but it won’t take the bills or the coins plzzz help🥺🥺🥺🥺
Well...hopefully you unplugged your machine before you tried to install the new coin or bill acceptor. If you didn't, you may have damaged them. Also, are you sure you purchased the correct acceptors for your machine? Some use MDB with 9-pin connectors...and some use different voltages depending on the unit.
I tried bending the metal arm 1st and it would bottom out on the plastic next to the coin return switch and would not depress the switch enough. Trust me when I tell you that this was the only fix that worked on this particular coin mech....and it is still working perfectly today. So I guess I'm coocoo enough to save money by fixing it without sending it out for a new switch.
@@HappyVending you can also raise the coin mech up to make more contact with the arm trust me I had to make many adjustments,,, also the wire cable itself
@@davidcampbell3789 Raising the coin mech up still creates the same issue...the metal arm hits the side of the coin mech and will only press the switch down so far. This switch needed extra pushing...which is why the wooden block is ONLY on the switch. I've also adjusted many coin mechs and this was the only way to get this particular one to work without sending it out to get the switch replaced.
@@HappyVending I guess I never had any wood with me for adjustments when Royal came out after Vendo and approached Coke those were the fixes that we were instructed by Royal to do. After we made the arm adjustments the we adjusted the coin track either up and down ect....
@@davidcampbell3789 If Coke encountered this problem, they would just swap out the coin mech and send the bad one out for repair. I decided to save a little money and fix it this way. And yes, I do have little wooden shims and double sided tape in my tool bag.
