Akir looks to add his fourth top 30 win of the night to his run, but Krudo has had his number through several sets over the past year against Akir's Marth and Sheik. Will the Donkey Kong prove to be the answer Akir had been searching for?

Amazing job man, you definitely deserve this. Also friendly reminder that keeping yourself humble doesn't have to include calling yourself "bad", if anything it improves your performance if you don't pass such harsh judgement on yourself for your mistakes :)) ❤❤

Some people just use this as a way to get by, sometimes it's not as toxic as you think to be so self deprecating, for us it doesn't improve our performance when we have confidence it just tears us down even more when we inevitably get humbled because of it. Some people just can't control their confidence when they do have it and become cocky so I just always stay extremely humble as to not be an asshole lol

I love how much Akir just wants to play really good melee and literally gets upset when his opponent doesn't play well. It's quite charming.

The only human not surprised by this. This is a bad match up the same way falcon sheik is but it’s so f’ing volatile it doesn’t matter. Both grabs kill. Love this match up god I’m so glad to of found a legit excuse to play dk…for sheik dittos…

Yeah I apologize, I averaged a much lower viewer count/follower rate prior to this stream and the Hungrybox set blew me up and I was not prepared at all LOL. It's off permanently now and replaced with just my sub notifications It was god awful to play through in my Aklo set, I react to spacie side-b via the audio cue and I functionally didn't have sound for a majority of the set LMAO

Honestly I consider the incessant monkey sounds to be part of the beauty of this run. It’s like, yeah this channel is in the process of blowing up because DK is getting into top 8 and taking names!

DKs nair seems like it is just never the right option. Every time you used it, it didn’t end up in your favor except for in the final game. Maybe it’s just bad in this matchup or I’m not giving it enough credit, but I don’t understand when it makes sense to use nair over anything else.

Nair isn't great but it gets better once your opponent gets into knockdown percent (~50ish give or take depending on the matchup). Less because of how good nair is but more importantly because you need to keep your opponents honest with front-facing approaches from time to time so that they can't read when you're approaching/not approaching super easily, so even though the risk-reward on it isn't great it's something that becomes a bit better and necessary to do when you anticipate that your opponent isn't going to respect it
