Cody Schwab Has NEVER Played a DK Like This... 

I'm not too great at melee so you can take what I say with a grain of salt. I definitely enjoyed the Hungrybox video but was annoyed that you kept saying that he was throwing for content and like "what are you doing" etc over and over. Is fine to say that or think that but saying it over and over is pretty disrespectful imo. Obviously I don't know what happened because I'm not Hungrybox but for example just cause someone who is good at the game is playing bad against you at that moment doesn't always mean they're throwing on purpose or are bad at the game (Not saying you said that but it felt like that cause you kept saying like what are you doing, he's playing without a brain right now, etc. Which could be true if he wasn't focusing too hard or had other things going on but still is a bit rude imo, I'm guessing it was all jokes so it's not a big deal. Was just a bit annoying to keep hearing against a long time distinguished player. I don't even watch Hungrybox that much so I'm not just trying to fan for him cause everyone is a player of the game. Doesn't matter if he wasn't playing "good" at that time). Everyone is human and have difficulties at moments. I'm guessing that you respect him as a person and player so it's not a big deal but was a bit odd to me. Congrats on getting some wins over good players though! Not trying to discredit you.

I do partially agree with Haxor but, the DK is sick. Hadn't heard of you until a friend mentioned checking it out, impressive wins and play. Entertaining stuff, but just embrace your skill aye. You're sick

But i do wanna say, Melee is Cody’s LIFE so I’m not trying to dog on the dude for the game bringing that out of him. A loss like that is gonna hit way harder than it does for most

As someone who recently started following the professional smash scene, from the outside looking in: Cody needs to learn how to lose gracefully, and not let stuff like this get under his skin. I've seen a few clips of him losing to someone he clearly feels he can outplay; only for him to then whine, complain and make backhanded salty observations/insulting players/characters/play-styles. It comes off as petty, childish and overall just a bad look. It makes him seem like a sore loser incapable of self-reflection in the moment. It also contributes a lot to his "unlike-ability". No doubt he is a great player (currently one of the best) who has clearly put in the "work", but his persona is one of all the Leffen Salt, minus any of the charisma.

@@Alph4Falc0 he shat on him all the time during covid, calling washed at every occasion. Then he lost against him at an online tournament and went on a 20 minute meltdown. He sperged out right in his face with a "reverse pop-off" when he lost at major. But then on twitter and stream he'd go "oh were good friends I love Juan :)" Cody shitting on someone in the most vile way only to pretend to be le wholesome (probably in hopes his unlikeable ass gets a sponsor, as if) for twitter brownie points is consistent behavior at this point.

I don't even care about this for me because 90% of comment sections love to shit on me, that's fine the shit you pull is why people hate putting this content on stream, you ever wonder why other top players dont want to play ranked or enter coinboxes? look in the mirror and you'll see why. even with akir adding the addendum you still go out of your way to say this. it completely lacks empathy and you should really consider changing how you engage with this stuff

Like most high level Melee players he has never been taught how to deal with a bruised ego, only learning from other top level babies and content creators. This is why good coaches and/or parents that guide kids are so important in sport👍

Having a short temper is not an excuse for anything. Get a longer temper and stop acting like a got damn baby then.
