I remember this song from the early seventies, I had just moved to Philly, I fell in love with the city and its vibe and this song was one of the songs I heard blasting from cars and radios from WDAS radio in Philly every where I went. Great memories
@@juanscott7130 I know. Her Uncle and Father played with the group Azteca, with Santana, and others, as well as on their own. She was raised in a musical family.
Both of my parents are deceased, and everytime I listen to this song, I realize how much my father loved my mother. Music definitely is the universal language that unites us all.
Linda Tillery's got such a soothing voice, to wake up to on a Monday morning, here she sings lead with Calvin Tillery on this beautiful traack, the track also has Harvey Mason on drums from the 1975 Coke album, a good cover of the Lamont Dozier original
Well said I didn't know about Lamont Dozier being the original Calvin tiller and Linda Tillery is my brother and my cousin nice talking listening on this that version I like that well said
Awsome. Been a long time since I listened to Come. I had every single album. All gone now. Silly husband. Dumpster accident. All of that music. AWB CHICAGO EWF ON AND ON ROY AYERS BYRD. I THANK GOD FOR THE MUSIC MY BROTHER INTRODUCED ME TO. A LITTLE OLDER. I WAS 14. My BROTHER BAND WAS CALLED THE MUSIC MASTERS THEY ONLY COVERED THIS TYPE OF MUSIC. THEY DIDN’T GET ON. . SADLY. THEY WERE BEAT AT APOLLO BY KOOL AND THE GANG. THE AUDIENCE-JUST DIDN’T APPRECIATE THIS MUSIC ALTHOUGH THEY RECOGNIZED THE TALENT.WONDERFUL ERA. ANYONE BORN AFTER 1950-60 missed. Sorry.
Yes he did get a lot of play in Philly. WDAS kicked coke's songs big time. I saw a band named Kaos in a North Philly club playing this very jam in 1976. Kaos killed this joint. That band was amazing. I wish they would have stayed together. One of Philly's finest!
I could not remember who the female was on this track who could ever forget Linda Tillery. She was a mainstay in the studio back in the day.Soothing someone used that exact word. Wonderful.

My cousin turned me on to Coke E. in Boston (she was attending Northeastern U). He killed it with this song...I thought I would hear good things from him after that. He never did.
@@orlandomays2289 Gonna be hard to find...Just don't give up. It's out of print (the one with His face on it) Bought it 1975....Blessed to have it. So full of SOUL......
Love this song. Reminds me of the chill times of the early 70s. For some reason this tune isn’t available on Apple. Been trying to add it to my library.
Now remember Coke Escovedo I don't think he was wrongly round along but the songs that he did play rebirth that's a good song Why Can't We Be lovers now Coke Escovedo had a brother Pete Escovedo and he only had one song that really came out it's an album than their boxing check that or dollar to everything is coming our way I think that's the name of the song that was Pete Escovedo
@@pamelabeasley4562 My condolences. My brother used to do a show called "The Black Experience In Sound & The Mellow Moods of Den-Den", and he introduced us to so many tunes, songs before the commercial stations picked up on them. Brilliant brother, but he said there was no real money in radio, so he left the field after15 yrs to do something else. Glad your sister loved this song. She would have loved his late night slow jams...may she rest in peace.
Escovedos are blood relatives of Nicole Ritchie. I think pete is her Dad. Neglect in the parenting dept left Lionel to adopt. That is when I lost it for the E family.
