Bodycam footage shows key moments from a three-hour standoff between California police and an intoxicated burglary suspect. The San Francisco Police Department said an officer shot and killed 40-year-old Sergio Barrios after he allegedly reached for his gun. Horrible 911 dispatcher. Wow. He was clear with his description. He sounded a little upset, but these f**king dispatchers have to realize when it's a life or death situation (or perceived as such) you can't just remain calm. It's easy for you to say that sitting in your seat in from of a dozen monitors. Sure, tell me to calm down, okay. Anyway, I digress - this guy wasn't even that upset and was speaking very clearly. The operator wasn't paying attention. That much was obvious.

Agreed, these people with the cushy jobs need to be screened more carefully and given weekly, or at least, monthly checks on the quality of their responses. If their not up to standard then filter them out and do rehires.

These officers did an excellent job. To even consider criminal charges against the officer who fired is one of the most ridiculous things I’ve heard ! The offender was drugged up, heavily armed and clearly had no intention of cooperating ! Good job officer 👍

That is standard procedure. If you were to shoot someone who had broken into your house you would undergo the same scrutiny. You know the term "Homicide". That is the killing of one human being by another human being. The term "Murder" is the killing of one human being by another human being with malice aforethought. You will never hear of a "Justifiable Murder" within the Jurisprudence of the United States. But there is such a thing as a "Justifiable Homicide". The requirement is in determining whether or not the killing was done out of malice, negligence, disregard for the safety of others, or through mistake as to circumstances. If the Homicide was done to stop the immediate and otherwise unavoidable danger of death or grave bodily harm to the innocent, then it will be Justified.

This was in San Francisco. Sergio Barrios, 40, was shot and killed at a building near Bosworth and Cuvier Streets in the Glen Park neighborhood on May 19. Like five blocks away from Mission St

@Ali Taha : I don't think any officer was in immediate danger of getting shot when he was shot. He seemingly reached tor the gun, and that was it. He didn't have it raised or pointed at any one at the time.

I like how the officer tells the guy in spanish to put his hands DOWN at first... acknowledging that he likely doesnt speak english. But other officers yelling different commands at him in english, expecting the guy to follow the commands despite them thinking he doesnt speak english. Makes a lot of sense.
