Urdu language is deep and poetic. Punjabi language is romantic and has its own charm. These two languages are frequently used in Pakistani's song. Also the music in pakistan had always been used as a tool to emote feelings of every single person.I can proudly say that Pakistan's music is the music that feeds soul.
Both Punjabi and Urdu languages are equally poetic and romantic in my opinion, Urdu gives you that aura of elegance while you cannot beat the feeling of closeness, frankness and friendliness that you get from Punjabi. I feel both languages compliment each other naturally.
Coke studio originally started in Pakistan and after its immense popularity coke studio India and Bangladesh were formed. Coke studio Pakistan has produced 14 seasons far. Initial seasons were produced by Rohail Hayat then Strings, Noori and currently by Zulfi (all very fine musicians of Pakistan). From season 14 I'll recommend "Pasoori" and if you're interested in previous seasons there is a looong list of my favorites😇☺
i read somewhere it was originally start in Brazil. maybe i am wrong about country name but this concept was not our idea but our coke studeo is more successful than any other coke studeo
There were some live shows in Brazil as a one and done thing. Nadeem Zaman, the head of marketing at Coke Pakistan, decided to bring it to Pakistan. They first did extensive research and interviews with individuals from 14-24yrs and what they found that people said they liked their own, local music but wanted to update the techniques to give it a more contemporary feel. That's what they did, and right from Season 1 to date they have been breaking barriers. Amazing.
@@CoronaCovid yes you can say that but main reason of there failure was that they did not follow real concept of coke studeo they insert bollywood in there coke studeo and start singing regular type of bollywood movies like songs
Your virtual chicago friend saying… nicely done. I was worried you wouldn’t get to this song, or you were blocked… this one makes me cry. I can predict what most commenters will recommend outside of Season 14… I recommended 3 before. Will bring 3 more soon.
I’ve gotta say I’ve enjoyed all your reactions to this season. It’s great to see your appreciation for a different singing tradition. Rosie Gabrielle has a good video on her experience in Pakistan if you’re interested in seeing a bit of the culture and landscape
I've been a huge fan of Abida Parveen (one of her songs, Chaap Tilak, left an immense mark on me). Now this collab with Naseebo Lal (whom I haven't heard before) is nothing short of "magic". I don't know what to say anything beyond that. This song makes to transcend into something greater and humbles you. I was swelled up after listening to this masterpiece, I need a hug.
Your reaction is as amazingly thoughtful as the lyrics. You're absolutely right on how we as a human have same feelings no matter what part of the earth we belong. Truly love your reaction, how a reaction should be
loved your reaction, this was my favourite song from season 14. There are soo many gems from coke studio , rang and chaap tilak are amazing. nescafa basement songs bol hu and mehbooba.
Abida Parveen is a legendary singer, her family has been composing sufi music for centuries. The lyrics are deeply rooted in the sufi poetry of the Punjabi language across centuries.
Hey JIM.... you are HIT HARD by SPIRITUAL lyrics of this SONG .... WELCOME TO SUFI MUSIC. Btw I like your video reactions, it seems like you got PURE SOLE too. 👍
I once write in someones reaction that Naseebo Lal voice is like an arrow in the heart and Abida Perveen Voice is Balm on the wound, Extremely beautiful combination of two different voice. No words for the music composer. I am Pakistani and I am proud of these Legends Pakistan have in Music. Great reaction boss.
Hi Jim Games I appreciate your reaction on this beautiful song. Your facial expressions displayed your heart feelings. Most of reactors stop song again and again but you were so involved that you kept enjoying and made your comments at the end. Great 👌
I followed ur channel for BTS but I NEVER EXPECTED that u would start reacting to the songs from MY country. This has been an incredible journey and it makes me proud that u enjoyed it too. There are so many more songs that I would love for u to react. Especially the other seasons they are just as good. HAVE A GREAT DAY MAN.
I have watched many reaction videos. The way you've shown respect to Pakistan is non-comparable. Your way of commenting without pausing (and letting song go in background) and also not pausing un necessarily just to put input though many other foreign uploaders don't have any idea about Pakistani culture and music. You don't do that! Your reaction after completion of song while playing it in background said all about yourself too how good of a character you are with massive considerations for other cultures. I will be honored to fill you in about all about Pakistani culture, history and music etc. Respect from Pakistan
Wow! What an amazing review!! I’m literally touched by your sheer humility, your appreciation of music, and a genuine, honest desire to learn about Pakistan beyond just music. I’ve already subscribed to your channel and on my way to check out your other reactions. I will however recommend “Afreen Afreen” as a must listen, with the lyrics option turned on. Thank you, kindly!
As you continue your Coke Studio journey you will find almost every Coke Studio song is rooted in our centuries old cultures, traditions and literature. Coke Studio is basically a window into Pakistani cultures and traditions.
Ironically, this was the first song in Coke Studio season 14 and set the tone for the entire season. Zulfi has definitely taken Coke Studio Pakistan to a whole new level! You should take a look at the previous 13 seasons of Coke Studio Pakistan. You won't regret it, I promise.
Thank you so much ... I came back to listen to this reaction now that Coke Studio Season 15 is dropping songs every week. Much appreciated from Windsor, UK
Omg there are so many wonderful older CS tracks for you to check out! I would recommend some of the less popularly requested ones. Some might be on Rohail Hyatt’s channel, he’s the director of earlier seasons Ishq aap bhe awalla Charkha nolakha Miyan ki malhar Sawaal kande utte Aik alif Paar channah de Ishq di booti
Hey Jim first time commenter! Have been following you since you started with butter but was pleasantly surprised when you started reacting to Pakistani music 🎶 Coke studio is my absolute favorite and while season 7 is my favorite I am interested to see you react to season 1 and see it's humble beginnings!
I simply loved loved loved you comments. Your reaction. The reason you got this song is because you listened to it in entirety. Keep up the good work. Lots of love from a Pakistani in Texas.
Beautiful thought bro. Thank you. Love from Pakistan. Madam Abida Parveen is a spiritual singer and some of the words are her own. Like at 7:05 and 7:58. And you ended your coke studio journey with the first song of the production :D
Another great season of coke studio was Season 9, which brought some fantastic work. I would recommend you to watch "Lagi bina from season 9 because it has same spritual texture and will introduce you to new artists as well. You can also check song "Bol Hu" from Nescafe basement. It's a wide choice. But overall you reactions are wonderful, genuine and great to watch.
hello Jim....new subscriber here who thoroughly enjoyed your insights and comments .... found myself here after I saw ur reaction to Bol Hu and an interesting fact is that this song was actually written by Adnan who happens to be the lead singer of "Soch the band" from Bol hu and if u actually pay attention this almost seems like an extension of that song ..... also interesting fact that Xulfi the producer for season 14 of coke studios actually came from producing nescafe basement and brought along various talent ..... keep rocking brother
And we like to see your eyes shut down to the unveiled magic......Abida Parveen has put many to tears on their first listen...look at reaction from justin burke of Tu Jhoom.....see them caught off guarded
Yeh Jim ,I am thankful for your beautifully & analytical reactions on coke studio season -14, also I am glad that some understanding to you of Pakistani music's which is georges for me ,may I suggest to react BTS of whole coke studio season 14 and other previous coke studio songs as well, on the last you are absolutely right we are humans regardless our country -religion and culture if we have analyse our life that common happiness and problems are the same.. thank you once again Jim
I have really enjoyed your reactions. As the comments below suggest there is lot more in older seasons of Coke Studio. But I would suggest a little detour out of CS , for a listen to Bol Hu. It was recorded at the Nescafe Basement, in season 5. There is a big surprise in it. Happy listening.
This is a beautiful journey with u as well. I m glad you liked our music. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts with us. I really enjoyed the way u explained the things and expressed your feelings.
now why your reaction is important cause it is a litmus test of how catchy the art is to a new listner, you inspire feelings we go through in first listen
Been waiting for you to get to this song, and i knew you would love it! absolutely loved your reactions you're great at describing the experience. More power to you Jim!
this song is the first or you can say opening song of coke studio season 14. i must say all of your reactions about coke studio 14 plus the geography reaction about Pakistan i loved all of them , your words your face expressions during listening to the songs your smile i loved everything thank you for choosing coke studio and Pakistan .
Soulful music with amazing lyrics is mostly Pakistani.. all of Coke Studio tracks you have reacted to are from Pakistan sung by Pakistani artists and musicians..
I would recommend you to see 3 series, 1-Changing Perception (RU-vidrs/Influencers around the world tried to change world's perception about Pakistan), 2-Mark Weins foody tour of Pakistan, 3- Travellight (Jordon Tailor) Tour of Pakistan, female traveler's experience of Pakistan. and as a Bonus, please see "Pakistan in 6 minutes"
My goodness this is the best reaction ever, I always get emotional 🥹 whenever I listen to this beautiful song, it’s so serene and soothing while on a long drive just listen ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I have watched all your Coke Studios Season 14 reaction videos and I have been looking forward to this one for the whole time and today here you are great comments even I wanted to listen more from you on this great Job.
Abida Parveen........she has been in sufi music since she was young. More than 2 decades of build up in her voice. He vocals are so deep and strong................Legend
One of my favorite reviews of yours! Thank you big time for all the effort and time you have put into all these songs, nothing but genuineness. All these songs have BTS too which covers the idea behind the song’s and obviously it’s production process, if you ever get a chance review those too for a detailed insight and much more. Again, thank you!
😍😍 amazing reaction brother so now you know what abida parveen can bring to table so i am gonna request again to react on chaap tilak 110% guarantee you will be mesmerized by this type of music
there are multiple youtube channels for coke studio, Coke Studio India, Bangladesh and many other, the one you are watching is Coke Studio Pakistan, the most popular among all coke stodios All 14 seasons are feathering Pakistani Music as it is a Pakistani Studio :)
I think staying with coke studio classics will be a fulfilling experience for you. The philosophy behind coke studio is to take traditional folk, Sufi, qawali music and give it a modern or western treatment. This makes it more palatable for for world audience. They still maintain original lyrics and feel. A lot of suggestions given by your listeners are pretty good. You can also start looking into another Pakistani musical platform called Nescafé Basement. It has the same producer as coke studio season 14. It’s season 5 is the best place to start. Good luck with your journey.
Cuts right through you soul, I'd like to study the individual that isn't touched by this master piece. Abida Parveen hardly ever is out done on a track but Naseebo Lal OMG brings a grown man to his knees.
Glad this is one of your favorites. It's a much more traditional sufi song sung by legendary sufi singers. Not all but a significant amount f song lyrics from Pakistan will be effected in one form or another from the spirituality that permeates the society and that usually boils down to Sufi version of Islam. Last few decades the puritanical brand of Islam has definitely made inroads which to me changes what Pakistan really was when I was growing up there. Your understanding of the ethos of this song is pretty much right on but as you said they say even the simplest of core messages with such beautiful poetry
Hi Jim, appreciated your efforts started from the last one of season 14 and ending tour reviews on first of the season. Go for magical journey of each song too. 👍
Definitely recommend Coke Studio's further seasons but you should also check Nescafe Basement Seasons as well...you will find some pure gems in there too! By far the best reaction videos to Coke Studios. Also watch pakistan videos that show you places in Pakistan(I saw you recently watched biography of Pakistan). Best of luck and keep up the good work!
Actually it's the first song of this season you have already reacted on the last song PHIR MILENGY meaning we'll meet again and I would like you to react on MEHRAM from this season
Brother you got a beautiful soul and loved every video of yours . I hope you dive a bit deep into pakistani music. Its gonna be a soulful journey for you Love from pakistan !!!
One thing about Pakistani people that is amazing is their resilience in face of odds. They have so many problems but surprisingly the happiness index of its people is one of the best in the world.
