*This battery reconditioning program exceeded my presumptions. It worked on any drill battery, several AA and AAA batteries, **batery.repair** and any camera battery. The steps are simple and the act itself is exciting to do. No matter what type of battery you`ve got, it is sure to function again!*
Making use of the ru-vid.comUgkxcJ22tnHH9l1vjdIdEIG27iOG55P7LXI8 reconditioning plan, I just saved 2 auto batteries from being completely junked. The guides were very simple to follow. I wish I would have found this years ago! You may use the guide to recondition any battery type
I remember when i was like 8 years old i was with my mom and her car stopped in the middle of the road, a nice man helped us push the car off the road and he saw our battery had a lot of that build up, went to the store to buy a coke poured it on the batter and it dissolved. My mom’s car started again right after.
@Laura Croft Hydrogen gas from the acid which mixes with the air that forms that white/blue powder on the terminals and battery holder. Put a dab of multipurpose grease on the terminals to prevent buildup...
Just thought I'd point out that you can use carbonated water. I have one of those soda makers, and I just carbonated a bit of tap water, and it works exactly the same as Coke.
Yeah I had terrible corrosion on my battery, didn't have a coke on hand, but used a diet coke, worked wonders in getting most of it off. Still used a steel brush on the battery posts themselves, and dine fine grit sandpaper on the inside of the terminals after the diet coke soak. Looks brand new now!
It's all about carbonated water. Getting Coke on the battery and terminals ends up being a messy thing. Baking soda and water is one and another is a bottle of plain carbonated water. It will get you buy long enough so you can clean it right.
You make an easy job overly hard. No need to reinvent the wheel. Just slowly pour boiling water over the connections and terminals until clean. You can then use old school vaseline on the terminals to limit it coming back in a hurry or there's battery terminal sealing products in pressure packs these days that do an even better job.
That's "overly hard"? ...."dip the terminal in Coke for :5 minutes"....that's hard? Well, you know what they say, "hard work is never easy". You must exhaust very easily.
Yeah, the 3 ph coke is really gonna mess with the hydrochloric acid in our stomachs... It’s basic chemistry, nothing more nothing less. Just because one solution reacts with another, doesn’t mean that the first solution reacts with everything it touches in the same way
Coke was my fav soda to drink & enjoy, but I kept hearing that some kind of ingredient was in dark drinks and at a day care workshop years later the nutritionist happen to be talking on the subject of how sodas are bad for you & brought several dark 2 liter drinks with her and called us all to come see the ingredient that's in them that cause cancer. I can't recall the name b\c it was very long & hard to pronounce. But it sure made me feel good that I had stopped drinking dark sodas and all others except Ginger-Ale every now & then.
i think the general thought is that coke messes with more than just hydrochloric acid in the human stomach, i stay away from sodas in general, poison in a plastic bottle in my opinion
I am so glad most of us females are not like some of these males. We as women share tips with one another all the time whether we know each other or not. And we show appreciation as we swap thoughts, issues of all sort including health & household ideas with each other. And we dont not poke fun or make cruel smart ally commends as so many of these guys are doing on here. This Y-Tuber is just sharing one way to quickly clean ur battery terminals. I am sure he knows there are other ways. We all know vehicles breakdown sometimes at strange places and most of us females do not know how to clean the battery terminal maybe one of ur ideas will come to mind and the driver will have on hand in her trunk or cupholder just what she needs so she wont have to rely on help from a stranger who may or may not be a good Samaritan. Men please respect, love & lift each other up. Nobody should want to Know-It-All b\c that takes the fun out of living. Share with kindness. ITMT, I am going to buy a 20 ox dark soda & keep it in my trunk Quick Fix repair basket. Thanks ThunderHead289 & others.
There are several components to battery repairing. One resource I discovered that successfully combines these is the Jons Mender Guide (check it out on google) definately the best course i've seen. Check out this incredible resource.
I see the scammers have found you site, you are making a mountain out of a mole hill, here you go. 1/ wash with a garden hose 2/baking soda or soda and water mix 3/ clean with the garden hose or for best results rinse with distilled water. 4/ admire your work.
coke has always worked for me. Its no scam just free advice. People like trying different thing, they maybe even take your advice, though I don5 see why, the process is too long.
No, this should NOT scare anyone away from drinking Coca Cola (or any OTHER soda). Battery corrosion is an acid; Coke is a mild base (alkali) just like baking soda and water. Just like when you pour vinegar into baking soda and it fizzes, the Coke is just neutralizing the acidic nature of the corrosion when it's fizzing. So, if your stomach is too acidic, it can do the same thing when you drink it. I hate when people making videos make totally irresponsible comments in their videos trying to be funny (or trying to sound like medical authorities). Worst case scenario, some idiots watching might believe his comment and stop drinking soda; but, more often, an irresponsible comment like that simply makes people lose any credibility for the video and its author.
coca cola contains phosphoric acid, which eats at metals and it's oxides produced by corrosion. pretty much serves as a rust remover and metal cleaner. the reason it shouldn't scare you is because our stomachs are designed to handle acids like these at the ph levels they're at since we produce a dilute hydrochloric acid for digestion. our stomachs don't produce concentrated acid and coca cola doesn't contain much phosphoric acid. it's around the level of vinegar. I still recommend cutting back on how much one drinks. a coke every other day or once a week I think is perfectly fine.
Bet it tastes better after this. Let's face it, it couldn't taste worse! Did ya grease the terminals and clamps to prevent it happening again or at least slow it down? Betcha didn't. IT WILL. Which becomes unusable first? That battery pillar or the clamp? You'd better hope the clamp...A new one can be fitted, messy and more cost but at least it can be done. The battery pillar? Huh! No chance! Coke may be very effective but so is boiling water. But don't drink the coke..Save it for your glass house tomatoes...Great plant food... Phosphoric acid. There's an English tomato turbo juice called Growrite..or Tomorite. Main ingredient ...Phosphoric acid ...Look on the Coke or Pepsi bottle/can! OH.. I've just seen another reference to boiling water by Erroneous Code in a previous posting. HE knows what he's talking about!
Okay I am a female 46 and I'm going to attempt to do this on my own wish me luck shouldn't be that hard it was pretty easy thank you safety first I know I know I know
you could of covered the alternator and fuze box and sprayed degreaser all over the engine bay while you were at it. you could had a brand new car engine bay in 30 minutes but i guess not.
It does work faster than coke being poured on the battery, but, the pressure wash isn't a good idea because you risk pushing water into connectors and rusting out the terminals. Which can cause Circuit Failure, Especially on older cars. Sometimes fast isn't always better.
