Jodi gives off such a good vibe when you see her on video. I have no doubt she was a sincerely nice person. I hope whatever happened was quick and Jodi didn’t suffer.
I think she was very comfortable in front of the camera, and was born to do what she was doing. I also think she would have gone on to bigger places than Mason City had she lived. Sad case.
I think it was John Vancise. He became obsessed with her. He wanted her to be his girlfriend, she didn't want to be his girlfriend, he flipped out and killed her.
I don't know. He didn't seem like that. He seemed like he really was her friend and showed her off cause she was on TV. He also named a boat after her so I don't think he would been so dumb. However, owning a boat means dumping a body in to water... so I mean you just never know. It could have been him.
You said it, not me…BUT, I’ve been thinking it. Not just this clip but I’ve seen her on shows in the past. It’s never sat right that someone close to the victim can’t manage to hide her contempt for Jodi. Maybe she just disliked Jodi? Has ALWAYS given me the impression she harbored jealousy toward Jodi. I graduated from high school the year he went missing. I have followed this true crime mystery most of my adult life. I pray for the family for an answer to what happened to her.
My worst fear as a parent, close relative or a friend would be that she was being held and tortured someplace. Not to know what happened to her would be devastating to lose a loved one in that way.
When i was growing up in the early 90s a lot of ppl were getting away with murder. You can literally watched unsolved mysteries and a lot of them still unsolved. We do got be thankful for technology because it has definitely helped catch these people.
Amy Kuhns was only 24 years old and handled the show very well by herself that day...Fantastic! One hour long show moving from one item to the next....with the thought of Jody on her mind.
I would surmise that she is dead, but then, you look at Michelle Knight, Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus who were kidnapped and held for years and years by Ariel Castro and you just never know. 🤷🏼♀️ I would like to think that Jodi is alive and can be rescued to be able to at least live out the rest of her life. ❤️
We have seen these types of cases over and over and over again. She's likely no longer living, and her body may never be found, and we may never know what, how, or why.
I think her disappearance was connected to someone she didn’t know who grew obsessed with her over on T.V. I don’t think it was someone she knew. I think it was someone watching her from dark corners. Someone lurking around her without her knowledge. Too bad there weren't good security cameras covering the parking lot of the apartment at that time. Today, cameras are everywhere and grabbing someone in an apartment parking lot would be diffucult to get away with thankfully. Why do people fail to react when they hear a scream in the quiet hour before dawn! Damn! Jump up and get out there. At least look out the window to see what you can see.
I really think the Vancise theory is overplayed, and that the person who was following Jodi while driving, is the best lead in this case. Sadly, I think its a longshot this case is ever solved unless she is found, because there simply isnt enough evidence to find whomever did it. We have no real clue to an exact car that left the scene that morning, and what evidence IS out there, doesnt definitively point to a specific person. Was Vancise a lil creepy, or infatuated with Jodi? Probably, but that doesnt mean he killed her. Jodi WAS scared of this person she thought was following her, and even started taking self defense classes from what ive read. I dont think those classes were taken for John Vancise. Such an awful story. She was a beautiful young lady.
I think someone was stalking her. They probably had her schedule for daily activities. With her running late,she probably never saw it coming. That’s my theory. And it’s a good chance they have done it before. And probably did it again after her.
I saw an ABC 6 News RU-vid video where a private investigator did reveal that Jodi had been in a new relationship for 11 days before her death.. He thought that maybe the evening prior when she tried to call her sister, but her sister was not home, that she may have wanted to discuss this with her sister. I also believe in the stalker theory. She had filed a report of a stalker with the police department and mentioned it to a friend or two of hers. What is really interesting is this new relationship. Whoever was stalking Jodi probably had fantasies of this pretty lady for himself. She was single, and when it became apparent to the "stalker" that she was no longer single, he probably planned this abduction.... The stalker probably felt she was in love with this new and other man of 11 days and that probably pushed him to the abduction. The investigator stated that she parked her car in his or his parents garage and she spent the night. And perhaps he spent the night at her place as well....This is the kind of stuff that would drive her stalker to abduct her...In a separate video on RU-vid it showed her apartment, and in the bathroom i noticed 2 toothbrushes...Which is strange for a single person. But not strange for a single person with a new girlfriend or a new boyfriend in Jodi's case....Also there was the issue of the 2 wine glasses and the toilet seat being left up after they inspected her apartment, the morning of her abduction. And that is another pretty clear indicator to me that she had someone very recently hanging out at her apartment. Probably, even the evening before her abduction....Of course the new boyfriend would also be a suspect for the police to investigate.......A tragically fascinating missing person case, that hopefully gets solved soon......My gut feeling is a stalker who she may have known in passing or someone she may have never even met.

Yeah, maybe they should have called Sylvia Browne, who could have told police that Jodi was in water, like the one family member of a murder victim on a talk show, that ended up being found on dry land. Wake up, theres no such thing as psychics lol. I cant believe in 2024 there are still people who believe in them. All they are conmen and women.
If it was a fan who was crazy I mean back then no cameras and her body never found I mean it's just almost impossible to figure this one out, if it was a random person who has never opened his mouth to anyone since 1995 he won't be found 😢😢😢
Ms. Huisentruit unfortunately is not the first nor the last newscaster stalked. I couldn't help but bang my head against the wall during covid panic when a reporter from a show broadcasted "from my home". 🤯. There are disturbed men and women who fancy that local or national newscaster a friend or soulmate, and you've just showed them the inside of your home?! 😮 Perhaps the individual 5:39 who killed Jodi Huisentruit was a friend who took her outgoing personality the wrong way, or they were a fan who did their homework, stalked, kidnapped and murdered her. Wow 1 of the killers is n this. For those unaware the guy Randy who said he saw white van on his way to work. HE NEVER WENT TO WORK THAT DAY. and he & work buddy had been stalking her for months
i agree with doug merbach. it someone she knew. someone like vancise. he was fixated on jodi, and wanted a relationship with her, but she didnt see him in that way.
I think it was someone lest expected I was watching 48 hours and a female reporter made a comment and was laughing but I did not think it was appropriate to laugh red flag for sure but cant remember will rewatch and post a clip if I can a jealous female is involved/responsible for this I will be back. And i have made comments before about this and a documentary made by I want to say 20/20 with Elizabeth vargaus Amy koozs was in my opinion was acting shady and detached is there truth in previous comments????
@@chucklawson2331 I’ve seen Amy Koos interviewed briefly on a few shows. To me, it’s contempt toward Jodi we are seeing from Amy. IDK, just my opinion but I’ve had coworkers I wasn’t exactly fond of but if they had been abducted I would be upset. The way Amy speaks about Jodi is VERY unsettling.
I thought Vancise was the obvious suspect for years. Thinking about it over the years I’ve changed my mind though. Vancise was a friend of Jodi’s, they spent time together pretty frequently. He would not have to abduct Jodi and risk being caught. He could have knocked on her door one evening claiming he had a “death in the family” or anything along those lines. Like many of us, Jodi was “too nice”. Most of us have had a friend that had romantic feelings for us and the feeling hasn’t been mutual. Vancise was crazy about Jodi, he knew a lot about her and IMO if he wanted to harm her he didn’t have to abduct her from a parking lot and risk being seen. I could be 100% wrong, just my opinion.
I practice spirit writing or automatic writing. I asked about Jodi and how this played out. Basically, she is deceased, I was told 'Bruce' was the driver. She is back in Minnesota 'by the river - through the woods' and she is happy playing golf. There was other stuff but I prefer not to say about manner of death.

Nobody knows but after all these years with no sightings most assume she’s no longer with us. Jodi was a high energy, determined woman…just not the type of person to go down without a fight.
