The police would have been if there had been direct leads to them. Over time, people come up with elaborate scenarios that usually never stand up in court. The guy who had motive was the guy who she was with the night before she was murdered.

Exactly there's no drug connection here with Dustin Honken , or Tony Jackson because Tony Jackson was too open and honest and he did have a good point like a black man in a small town would stand out and just because he bought a car the day before Jodi disappeared doesn't mean he kidnapped her no conspiracy here people And the farm😢er who died a month before Jodi everyone thinks it had something to do with Jodi but it didn't he died by an accident not suicide or murder. Another conspiracy everyone thinks Jerry Burns from Manchester, Iowa took Jodi because he mentioned her when he was being arrested for Michelle Martino's murder Jerry just brought up Jodi to try and make conversation that's all. The person I think who took Jodi was infatuated with Jodi probably was watched her everyday on TV, saw her out in town like the grocery store, a bar, or jogging and followed her home and found out what time she went to work , got off work, etc. He knew her movements and figured it was time to take Jodi for himself and the neighbors heard the screams I think the person probably killed her within the time he kidnapped her because he probably panicked and didn't know what to do and cut up her up and burned her body and got rid of the ashes. What the person did with her remains a mystery but my opinion. One last thing I personally don't think John Vansice killed her I think he was in love with her and too bad he has dementia now but people need to quit drinking the Kool-aid I think it's someone nobody suspects my opinion and I hope they solve it in my lifetime.

I think Vansyce did it. He was creepy and was 22 years older hanging out with Jodi and her friends. His interview was creepy too. He has alzheimer's now, so that's the end of that. She was so sweet and trusting.

Oh yes very much so. Mason City is often referred to as Little Chicago. In my young partying days, in the 90’s, Mason was a frequent stomping ground. Today, I’m very vigilant with my comings and goings there. I can’t believe I personally know a murderer from there and someone who was a murder victim in that town. Iowa definitely has a few rotten patches of the cornfield.

Honken has no connection probably as far as being personally involved but please trust me from my experiences (no i haven’t killed someone but I’ve been in the streets and been around a lot of not so good people) when you do the type shit Dustin was doing you know about other fucked up things going on in the area on a more personal level with information because your a part of that life so it’s easy to spot and notice such things or catch the word. Like for example me the homies could just be sitting in the house and the other homie from cross town come and tells us that big plug over there on that side of town was robbed and beating bad the other night by the lil homies Over on that side of town. Even though I’ve never met this plug or the lil homies on that side of town i already know what they got into when and why it happen. That’s just a light example though for like me. Dustin was into more sinister shit then i ever was so you can imagine his crowd wasn’t to far off from him. Who know how weird that John guys seems they probably knew one another because i truly believe it was John he probably just told Dustin if he knew him.
