This is one episode that really tugged at my heart strings. My grandmother on my father's side was in an abusive marriage. He abused her and my dad and his siblings not just physically but emotionally. He even stoped his dad after he pushed her against the wall and was about to punch her when my dad punched him and knocked him to the floor. My grandfather left the family not long afterwards and that was when my dad became the heart of the family. My dad was a true hero. I just wish I had known about this when he was alive so I could tell him that
Your grandfather sounds like an asshole. Don't sound like your dad took after him. Pretty sure your father enjoyed seeing his grandfather beat up his abusive father.
+@@c.s.p.6285 Great Statement! What a piece of human garbage. I bet his family would have said kind things about him. May he burn in Hell anyway. Only fiction but get,s you all worked up.
@@astarshiptoguidemeby3741 It may be fiction, but monsters like him are all too real. Hitting women and children, and in some cases, killing them. Art did the world a favour in my book.
This clip has me crying! One of my favorite episodes from Cold Case! And the song. Omg Update: It’s Dec 2019 and I STILL miss this show! 🖤 2nd update: It’s August 2022 and I miss early 2000’s tv shows 🥲
Damn. This one realy made me cry. This is for sure a top five of the saddest Cold Case episodes I've seen. Besides: Boy in the Box, Maternal Instincts and The Sleepover.
I would watch clips of this show here and there, but this one was on TNT at 3 AM and I could not stop watching it. One of the finest episodes I have ever seen yet very heart breaking.
I remember Cold Case aired on my country at Sunday´s. So after church we came and see it, but the day this episode went on i fall sleep, until I woke up after hearing my mom and sister crying and crying.. (and believe me my mom and sister don´t cry very much). It was one of the saddest episodes of the whole serie.
This is my favorite cold case episode even though it is the saddest it just brings tears to my eyes every time i see it i don't know how he could do that to his beautiful kids and wife he deserved to die (this episode coincidentally enough was the most viewed too with 19 million viewers i think this episode was one that pulled everyone's heart strings. An amazing and the best episode but too sad at the same time.
It was bad enough that he broke his daughter's arm, but killing her? I wanted to jump through that screen and kill him myself. Too bad Art didn't finish him off after beating him up in the car park. "We did it off the books" (Art's explanation for how wife-beaters were dealt with in the 60s). Well, if you wanted a scumbag taken down, you did it yourself.
I'm HOOKED on this show, on at 3pm daily and LOVE it for the music. Wonderful to hear the popular music of the year when the cold case happened. There are so many wonderful episodes, but I find Lilly's love affairs REALLY CREEPY just like her crazy hair and those silly extensions clipped in.
Any episodes including the unsolved case of a child's death hit me hard. If the killer is a paedophile, I don't just cry. I get angry. I hate paedophiles.
@loveshinae The first Cold Case ep. I ever saw was "Boy in the box" .Along with this, "Who's your daddy", "Maternal instincts" and "Baby blues" are my top 5 sad eps.
This show is mind controlling with many emotions! CBS really has done the job! Even with this episode, I had to remind myself that this is just a show, because it took my breath away!
@Rumisonqqo for me the first sad ep i saw was "Maternal Instincts" then "The Promise", "A Perfect Day", "Beautiful little fool" and "A dollar, a dream".
I have to wonder about the one twin with the broken arm if the father favored the other twin over her. Her arm was broken by him and he was carrying her on the other side where the mom couldn’t get to her to prevent her death.
@chimeinagain First of all, I doubt the evil husband was thinking that. Second a fall from that height, even into water, could break your neck. (I think crushed vertibrae was mentioned).
MULHER. QUANDO UM HOMEM TE AGREDI PELA PRIMEIRA VEZ , FAÇA DESSA PRIMEIRA VEZ A ÚLTIMA. NUNCA DÊ A ESSE HOMEM UMA SEGUNDA CHANCE. A SEGUNDA CHANCE PRA ELE PODE SER A ÚLTIMA PRA VOCÊ E/ OU PARA ALGUÉM QUE VOCÊ AMA. E LEMBRE-SE , NINGUÉM MUDA NINGUÉM. E RELAÇÃO VIOLENTA NÃO É AMOR, É MALDADE , É DOENÇA. SALVE SUA VIDA E DAS PESSOAS QUE REALMENTE PRECISAM DO SEU AMOR: " SEUS FILHOS." LEMBRE- SE "QUEM MEUS FILHOS BEIJA, MINHA BOCA ADOÇA. "
she left the twin in the church because she felt the kid would be much safer not being attached to her since the husband could find her easily. so she left the twin there with a necklace of St. Michael and the officer's badge number that tried to help her out.
That pathetic excuse for a husband and father should have been the one whose murder was unsolved, just like the college rapist from 1982 (series 5, I think). In that case, no one sympathised with the so-called victim.
