They could've done way better cold opens for the office. For instance, when Stanley didn't notice anything and everybody tries to see how far they can take it. Or, when Jim was "Asian". The prank he pulled on Dwight in Season 9

@@howlshedo each to their own I guess! I wouldn't really describe this scene as chaotic though - sure, the notion of a dog poop fight is a random idea but the rest of the scene is pretty linear. That's not to say it isn't funny of course!

Covers By DJ parks n rec is one of my favorite shows by far. the first season sucks but it’s only six episodes. the show really finds its pace in s2. the rest of the show is solid through the end

Do it! But don’t compare it to the office. At first glance, they are very similar. But if you go into it thinking it’ll be like the office, you’re going to be disappointed when there’s not a Jim/Dwight dynamic or a straight forward Stanley. It’s a different show with completely different character dynamics. Trying not to compare it to the office makes the show a lot better because you begin to watch it as a show and not a spin off of The Office or something. That’s the advice I give to The Office fans for watching Parks and Rec. It’s a good show, but not if you compare every character and every scene to The Office lol

I’m not talking just Cold opens but the office takes a boring old paper job and adds personality to there’s comedy everywhere in the show and parks and rec is also super funny but after Ben and Leslie got married it kinda got boring but that’s kinda the same for the office on season 8 after the doc aired. the office is too original.
