Great video! Thank you! Love the sound. Brought back memories of going to work in the snow. I never had issues even in pretty deep snow. Still have my beetle but it stays out of the snow now.

I have always wanted a VW Bug but never owned one, I was born in 1967 I think it would be cool to own one for the year I was born in. GREAT VIDEO thanks for sharing

I love it man. I had a red 67 sunroof bug I had to sell to pay bills years ago. Im currently looking to get rid of a few hobbies, and get back to bugs.

@@TheGarageRR They sure do. My wife doesn't get it though. Im big 6'4" dude...she always says..."You need to be in a truck!" I have 5 trucks....I think I have enough trucks...lol

One of my friends is 6'7", and watching him fold into the VWs is truly fun to see 😂. I understand your predicament though, in addition to our VW collection, we've got quite a stock of Jeeps and other rigs, but the VWs are a special collection all in their own.

@@TheGarageRR My sons will probably be 6'8" monsters. Their mother is 6'-0". My mom is 5'6". Doctors and online calcs all say about 6'7" to 6'9" freaks. Back in high school, I had a German exchange student buddy named Matthias. He was 6'9" his senior year and came back the next summer or two and ended up being 7'-0". He got into my beetle. He loved seeing his countries little VW driving around over here.

Brings back many, many memories in our 1960 and my 1968 Bugs in winter (frosty windows!). It should take only 2 pumps in cold weather. Timing is too advanced, (points adjustment?) or is the engine souped up? Starter is having a hard time at compression, and lots of black smoke(oil burning?) Thanks.

Howdy! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. The engine has some performance upgrades. That day, the battery was almost dead on the poor thing after a -14⁰F night and had been sitting for an extended period of time, perfect for a cold start 😃👍.

I knew it would, but I came here to watch anyway. Greetings from Detroit, from a fellow snowy bug collector. :) Also, not sure, but it sounds like your timing might be a little too far advanced? Unless you've had some kinda work done to the motor.
